Abstract:
The present document relates to processing of multimedia data, notably the encoding, the transmission, the decoding and the rendering of multimedia data, e.g. audio files or bitstreams. In particular, the present document relates to the implementation of loudness control in multimedia players. A method for providing loudness related data to a media player is described. The method comprises the steps of providing a first loudness related value associated with an audio signal; wherein the first loudness related value has been determined according to a first procedure; of converting the first loudness related value into a second loudness related value using a reversible relation; wherein the second loudness related value is associated with a second procedure for determining loudness related values; of storing the second loudness related value in metadata associated with the audio signal; and of providing the metadata to the media player.
Abstract:
The present technology relates to a decoding apparatus, a decoding method and a program which make it possible to obtain sound with higher quality. A demultiplexing circuit demultiplexes an input code string into a gain code string and a signal code string. A signal decoding circuit decodes the signal code string to output a time series signal. A gain decoding circuit decodes the gain code string. That is, the gain decoding circuit reads out gain values and gain inclination values at predetermined gain sample positions of the time series signal and interpolation mode information. An interpolation processing unit obtains a gain value at each sample position between two gain sample positions through linear interpolation or non-linear interpolation according to the interpolation mode based on the gain values and the gain inclination values. A gain applying circuit adjusts a gain of the time series signal based on the gain values. The present technology can be applied to a decoding apparatus.
Abstract:
A volume/tone control circuit comprises first and second latch circuits (8) and (9) for latching the volume control data BD and the tone control data TD stored in the shift register (7); a volume regulating circuit (2) and a tone regulating circuit (3) for regulating the volume and the tone of the input audio signal according to the respective output data of the first and second latch circuits (8) and (9); and a zero-crossing detection circuit (12) for detecting zero-crossings of the input signal. The input audio signal is fed to the zero-crossing detection circuit (12) when a data detection circuit (20) detects that the input data and the output data of the first latch circuit (8) differ. The output audio signal of the tone regulating circuit is fed to the zero-crossing detection circuit (12) when the input data and the output data of the second latch circuit (9) differ and they control data of either the first latch circuit or the second latch circuit is updated in response to the detection output of the zero-crossing detection circuit.
Abstract:
Provided are a method and apparatus for adjusting a sound field of an earphone and a terminal. The method includes: acquiring a loudness data difference between left and right earplugs of an earphone connected to a terminal; determining a current sound field parameter of the earphone according to the loudness data difference; judging whether the current sound field parameter is the same as a pre-set sound field parameter by comparison; and when the current sound field parameter is not the same as the pre-set sound field parameter, adjusting gain parameters of left and right channels of the terminal according to the current sound field parameter and the pre-set sound field parameter, so that the current sound field parameter of the earphone reaches the pre-set sound field parameter. In the embodiments of the present invention, a sound field of an earphone can be simply and accurately adjusted.

Abstract:
A system for processing compressed audio includes a signal enhancer module configured to generate one or more signal treatments. The one or more signal treatments may be generated by the signal enhancer module based on analysis of the incoming audio signal. Alternatively, or in addition, characteristics of the incoming audio signal may be provided to the signal enhancer module for use in generating the one or more signal treatments. The one or more signal treatments may be added to the audio signals.
