    摘要: Fast recovery is provided from transient loss of a received carrier in a satellite or terrestrial modem. A carrier tracking loop, loop filter and steering loop are provided in the modem. The occurrence of a transient condition affecting the carrier tracking loop is detected. The loop filter is flushed in response to the transient detection for a time period dependent upon an anticipated length of the transient condition. A voltage of the loop filter is steered toward a predetermined pre-transient value during the flushing step to minimize any change in frequency of the carrier tracking loop when the loop filter is flushed. After the filter has been flushed, the carrier tracking loop attempts to quickly reacquire the carrier.

In order to avoid a separate remote control of the converter circuit (1) use is made of the local oscillator radiation which is present at the aerial input of the connected RF-superheterodyne receiver (2) as an indication of the tuning frequency selected by the user with the tuning portion of the said RF superheterodyne receiver (2). The converter circuit (1) comprises a frequency search circuit (20) in which the frequency of the oscillator radiation is detected, an RF signal selector (11) which is controlled by the frequency search circuit (20) and by means of which the desired RF signal is selected from the RF signals applied to the converter circuit (1), furthermore comprising a modulator (18) which is also controlled by the frequency search circuit (20) and in which the selected RF signal is modulated on a carrier frequency which is determined by the tuning frequency and the intermediate frequency of the RF superheterodyne receiver (2).

An oscillation frequency controlling element (7b) which forms an external oscillation frequency control section of the digital oscillator (10) and a circuit constant variable upon variations in its working length, is mounted around the shaft (4) of an operator-operable knob (3) on the operational panel (1) of the radio receiver in the path of a sweep speed controlling element (5) mounted coaxially thereto. The sweep speed controlling element (5) and the oscillation frequency controlling element (7b) are connected to an input section of the digital oscillator (10). There is further provided a DX / LOCAL receiver mode selecting element (6) mounted coaxially on the knob shaft (4).

    摘要: This invention relates to a radio receiver unit (1) for use in a radio network environment, the receiver unit (1) comprising means for enabling a scanning through a radio frequency band in search of a radio station transmitting a desired radio content, wherein the receiver unit is arranged to halt a scanning through the radio frequency band at a stop frequency (f 2 ) transmitted by a first radio station and having a signal strength above a predetermined search_stop_level, whereafter the radio receiver unit (1) is arranged to stay tuned to said first radio station for a predetermined scanning stop time period (T s ).
    According to this invention, the receiver unit further comprises a memory (14), in which the stop frequency (f 2 ) is stored, at least until the expiry of said predetermined scanning stop time period (T s ).
    The receiver unit is arranged to reproduce said first radio station on any frequency out of an alternative frequency pick list (e.g. the AF feature from RDS) during said predetermined scanning stop time period (T s ). At the expiry of said predetermined scanning stop time period (T s ) the scanning resumes from the stored stop frequency (f 2 ) unless a stop_scan_command has been issued during said predetermined scanning stop time (T s ).
