    摘要: Systems and methods of expanding indication capabilities of existent PPDU preamble fields. The "GI+LTF Size" field is redefined to indicate a new combination of GI duration and HE-LTF size. The redefinition is indicated when the values of the two other existent fields, in combination, indicate an invalid scenario because the two values should have been mutually exclusive. Particularly, the DCM field and the STBC field are both set to the "enabled" mode as an indication for redefine the "GI+LTF Size" field. Upon receiving such a PPDU, a receiver is configured to resolve the PPDU as neither DCM nor STBC is enabled. Rather, the receiver interprets the particular combination of DCM and STBC values as an indication that the "GI+LTF Size" field is redefined to indicate the new combination of GI duration and HE-LTF size.

    摘要: Disclosed is a method and an apparatus providing antenna port sharing and a demodulation reference signals (DMRS) based precoding scheme for a distributed enhanced physical downlink control channel (E-PDCCH) using, for example, spatial frequency block codes (SFBC)/frequency selective transmit diversity (FSTD) transmit diversity. The method exhibits the same performance as SFBC/FSTD transmit diversity using un-precoded DMRS while not prohibiting another UEs' localized E-PDCCH to be potentially multiplexed in a same physical resource block (PRB) pair. The SFBC/FSTD transmission is facilitated by mapping a subset of layers to DMRS ports used by other UEs for localized and beamformed transmission, while the precoders for the remaining layers arc selected to be orthogonal to the other UEs precoders thereby providing good performance wide minimizing DMRS port usage. Specifically, no additional DMRS ports are needed for spatial diversity transmission.

    摘要: Information symbols are transmitted simultaneously on independent streams using the same spreading code (344) but from different transmit antennas (332a, 334a, 332b, 334b) at the transmitter. These simultaneous data stream could be intended for the same user (and thereby the data rate for any particular user can be increased) or for different users (thereby increasing the system capacity). Each stream of data can belong to a different signal constellation and use a different channel code (324a, 324b). At the receiver, a number of receive antennas equal to at least the number of multiple data streams is used to separate the different data streams. We consider two different cases. The first one when no transmit diversity is used (this case can also include the case when transmit diversity with simple antenna weighting is used) and the second when transmit diversity with space-time block coding is used.
