摘要: A device may receive a route identifier that includes a range identifier or a configuration identifier. The range identifier may identify a range of broadcast domain identifiers associated with a first device. The configuration identifier may identify an Ethernet segment identifier (ESI) configuration of the first device. The device may identify the range identifier or the configuration identifier included in the route identifier. The device may select a designated forwarder from among multiple devices based on the range of broadcast domain identifiers or based on identifying the configuration identifier. The designated forwarder may be the same designated forwarder selected by at least one other device.

摘要: An IP address distribution device (2) sequentially transmits, to a terminal device (3) on receiving an IP address request signal from the terminal device (3), IP address distribution signals including respective distribution IP addresses that are IP addresses selected one by one from among all unused IP addresses in a network. For the received IP address distribution signals, the switch device (1) is subjected to setting to determine passage or blockage of the IP address distribution signal for each port (P) in accordance with contents of all or a part of the distribution IP address included in the IP address distribution signal.

摘要: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and software that announce prefixes associated content nodes of a content delivery network are provided herein. In one example, a method of operating a communication system comprising Internet service providers configured to exchange content requests between end user devices and content nodes is presented. The method includes assigning a content node of the content delivery network a first Internet Protocol (IP) address having an associated first short prefix and a first long prefix, and assigning the content node a second IP address having an associated second short prefix and a second long prefix. The method also includes announcing the first short prefix and the first long prefix to a first Internet service provider communicatively coupled to the content node, and announcing the second short prefix and the second long prefix to a second Internet service provider communicatively coupled to the content node.

摘要: In one embodiment, a method includes sending a request to a computing server from a mobile-client system for a multimedia object. The mobile-client system receives, from the computing server, a query in response to the request for SIM-card information of the mobile-client system. The mobile-client system executes an application in response to the query to access a SIM card of the mobile-client system and retrieve SIM-card information. The mobile-client system sends the retrieved SIM-card information to the computing server. The mobile-client system receives a multimedia object from the computing server, the multimedia object being customized based on the retrieved SIM-card information.

摘要: A method may be arranged for a Domain Name System server to provide a DNS record to a DNS client. The method may comprise:
    - receiving a query from the DNS client, the DNS client having an IP address,
    - processing the IP address, by using a mapping function (20), to produce a selection number (SN),
    - selecting, by using the selection number (SN), at least one DNS record from a table (23) of DNS records, and
    - transmitting the at least one selected DNS record to the DNS client.
The mapping function (20) may comprise a conversion function (21) and/or a reduction function (22), and may be arranged for the selection number (SN) to have a substantially smaller range than the IP address. The conversion function (21) may be arranged such that its output values are more evenly spread over their range than its input values.

摘要: Technologies for scalable local addressing include one or more managed network devices coupled to one or more computing nodes via high-speed fabric links. A computing node may transmit a data packet including a destination local identifier (DLID) that identifies the destination computing node. The DLID may be 32, 24, 20, or 16 bits wide. The managed network device may determine whether the DLID is within a configurable multicast address space and, if so, forward the data packet to a multicast group. The managed network device may also determine whether the DLID is within a configurable collective address space and, if so, perform a collective acceleration operation. The number of top-most bits set in a multicast mask and the number of additional top-most bits set in a collective mask may be configured. Multicast LIDs may be converted between different bit lengths. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

摘要: A first aggregation layer device at a first site learns Media Access Control (MAC) address information received from a second aggregation layer device at a second site. The MAC address information includes: a VLAN identifier (ID), an aggregated MAC address, and an aggregated MAC address mask configured at the second site. When receiving a message addressed to the VLAN ID and a destination MAC address, the first aggregation layer device searches for the MAC address information based on the VLAN ID and destination MAC address and forwards the message to the second aggregation layer device according to the MAC address information. The destination MAC address belongs to the same MAC address segment as the aggregated MAC address and searching for the MAC address information includes mask matching based on the aggregated MAC address mask.
