摘要: Proposed concepts aim to provide schemes, solutions, concepts, designs, methods and systems pertaining to compressing raw medical image data. In particular, the raw medical image data is analysed in order to classify parts of said data into a plurality of classifications. Raw medical image data in a first classification is compressed in a weakly-lossy/lossless manner, and raw medical image data in a second classification is compressed in a strongly-lossy manner. In this way, a high overall compression rate may be achieved whilst maintaining an appropriate quality of the raw medical image data for reconstruction. In other words, a quality of the resultant reconstructed image may be ensured (i.e. by appropriately compressing parts of the raw medical image data), while enabling suitable compression rates for the transmission of the raw medical image data for remote reconstruction (i.e. by strongly compressing parts of the raw medical image data).

摘要: A device may be configured to compress feature data according to one or more of the techniques described herein. In one example, feature data may be compressed by using residual encoding to enhance the feature data by removing redundancies. Enhanced feature data may be spatially down sampled and the number of channels of the enhanced feature data may be reduced by applying a 2D convolution operation. A heatmap based on the reduced enhanced feature data may be generated. The reduced enhanced feature data may be scaled using the generated heatmap. The scaled reduced enhanced feature data may be entropy encoded to generate a bitstream.
