Bei diesem Farbfernsehempfänger mit einem Rechtecksignal-Taktgenerator für mindestens vier Taktsignale (F1, F2, F3, F4) als Farbhilfsträger-Quarzoszillator (FHT-Oszillator), deren erstes (F1) die vierfache FHT-Frequenz und deren zweites bis viertes F2...F4 die FHT-Frequenz haben, wobei das erste und zweite Taktsignal ein Impulsbreiten-Impulspauschen-Verhältnis von 1:1 haben, ferner mit einer das digitale Chrominanzsignal (C) liefernden Stufe und mit einem ersten Parallel-Multiplizierer (M1), dessen eines Eingangssignal das digitale Chrominanzsignal und dessen anderes Eingangssignal ein digitales Farbsättigungs-Einstellsignal (SE) ist, werden die digitale Amplitudenregelung der empfangenen Farbträgerschwingung, die digitale PAL-Identifizierung und Farbunterdrückung sowie die digitale Farbsättigungs-Einstellung und eventuell eine digitale, rauschabhängige Farbunterdrückung mittels Parallel-Multiplizierern (M1, M2), -Subtrahierern (ST1, ST2), -Addierern (AD), -Komparatoren (K1...K51, Pufferspeichern (PS1...PS5), Vorwärts-Rückwärts-Zählern (Z1...Z4), programmierbaren Festwertspeichern (FS1...FS4), logischen Verknüpfungsgliedern (NG, OD, U1, U2, VU) und RS-Flipflops (FF1, FF2) erreicht. Ferner erzeugt der FHT-Oszillator noch ein fünftes Taktsignal (F5) mit der doppelten FHT-Frequenz und einem Impulsbreiten-Impulspausen-Verhältnis von 1:3.

Thereby, it is possible to enhance the detection precision of the abnormality states of the burst signal and the precision for discrimination of the broadcasting system.

A digital image acquisition system having no photographic film, such as a digital camera, has a flash unit for providing illumination during image capture and a red-eye filter for detecting a region within a captured image indicative of a red-eye phenomenon, the detection being based upon a comparison of the captured image and a reference image of nominally the same scene taken without flash. In the embodiment the reference image is a preview image of lower pixel resolution than the captured image, the filter matching the pixel resolutions of the captured and reference images by up-sampling the preview image and/or sub-sampling the captured image. The filter also aligns at least portions of the captured image and reference image prior to comparison to allow for, e.g. movement in the subject.

The color transmission system discrimination circuit includes: a killer state change detection circuit 23 for detecting a change in three kinds of color killer signals corresponding to a burst signal component in a 90° phase, a burst signal component in a 180° phase, and a SECAM discrimination signal; a sequencer 22 which is driven with an output signal of the killer state change detection circuit 23 and performs the first, second, and third stages in this order respectively for a predetermined period of time; first latch circuits 29 to 31 for latching the color killer signal captured in the first stage; second latch circuits 32 and 33 for latching the color killer signal captured in the second stage; and a discrimination decoder 34 for outputting a discrimination signal of a color system and a discrimination signal of a frequency of a reference sub-carrier signal, based on the color killer signal captured in the third stage and the output signals of the first and second latch circuits 29 to 33.
