A method for moving subsea rocks and sediments which can be at significant depths, in connection with removal of protective rocks around installations where maintenance is to be conducted. Tubing with an ejector nozzle is arranged completely externally in relation to the tubing on a standard, remote controlled submarine (ROV), so that the ejector nozzle produces a pressure gradient through the tubing. An inlet end of the tubing is located with the rocks and sediments to be moved, which are sucked into the tubing and blown out of the opposite end of the tubing.

The present invention relates to an installation (100) intended to be incorporated into a natural (B) or artificial (B') basin in order to reduce eutrophication, the installation comprising a means (200) external to the basin (B, B') for collecting and transferring water from the bottom of the basin (B, B') and which is liable to contain sediment(s) which has settled under gravity. The collection and transfer means (200) comprises a drain or a network of drains (300) connected to an outfall (400) that passes through a rocky belt (R) or the casing (V) of the basin (B, B') and which emerges, on a slope, outside the basin (B, B') through a valve (410) that allows said basin to be drained or filled. A method for reducing eutrophication in a natural or artificial basin is also claimed.
