The water aeration capsules provide a quick and highly portable system for aerating polluted water. The capsules contain bubbles of air, oxygen, and/or other gas(es) surrounded by a water soluble shell or membrane of a suitable substance, e.g., various salts, sugars, watersoluble polymers, such as polyvinyl alcohol. The capsules are ballasted to make their specific gravity greater than the water they displace. The ballast may comprise any non-toxic metal, sand, clay, or other non-organic material, and/or fish bait or other food for aquatic animals. Magnetically attractive ballast elements may be provided, and a magnetic sheet may be placed on the bottom of a smaller body of water to enhance the settling of the capsules. Various means of dispensing the capsules from various mobile carriers are also disclosed, including dispensing by hand from shore or by a diver, from a small boat or larger ship, and/or from aircraft.

The enlarged end portion (118) has an outer wall (126) spaced from the passage (105) such that as the forward edge progressively occludes the passage (105) as the shutter rotates, any feed between the outer wall (126) and the forward edge of the shutter simply falls from the enlarged end portion (118). A drive system couples an electric motor to the auger (11) to provide drive thereto. The drive system is adapted in use to cause the electric motor to rotate the auger (11) through a discrete number of completed 360° turns such that when the auger (11) is not rotating the passage (105) is fully occluded by the shutter.

In order to thoroughly solve the existing vinasse problems, in particular in the production of bioethanol from plant raw materials, a method is proposed for producing feedstuffs from crustaceans of the genus Artemia (brine shrimp) or Copepoda (oar-footed crustaceans) or Daphnia (water fleas) or from microbes in the form of rotifers or protozoa, said method being characterized in that the crustacean/microbe cultures are fed at least partially with vinasse, preferably thin vinasse, in particular from bioethanol production, and with the yeasts contained in the vinasse. At the same time, a method for processing vinasse is provided, said method accordingly being characterized in that the vinasse is used as feed for crustacean/microbe cultures and/or for algae cultures in order to at least partially decompose the yeasts contained in the vinasse. In connection with this, it is also proposed that process heat produced during vinasse production, in particular in the course of producing bioethanol, is used to heat water for the cultivation of crustaceans/microbes and/or algae in order to use the thermal energy content of the vinasse in a useful manner.

The present invention provides an automatic feeding system for an underwater fish farm, including: a marine base facility standing vertically in the sea, in which a lower portion is fixed on the seabed and an upper portion is exposed above the sea surface; an underwater fish farm installed on an outer surface of the marine base facility; a storage tank installed inside the marine base facility to store feed to be supplied to the underwater fish farm; a feed transfer device transferring the feed discharged through an outlet of the storage tank; a feed supply device mixing seawater with the feed transferred by the feed transfer device and supplying the mixture to the underwater fish farm; a controller installed inside the marine base facility to control operations of the feed transfer device and the feed supply device; and an illumination device installed in the underwater fish farm to illuminate an inside of the underwater fish farm to prevent cultivated fishes from dying due to collision with a fishing net.
