    摘要: This invention pertains to a method and apparatus for assembling a lens-forming structure, and forming a lens. The invention includes a collet (150) that supports a gasket (20), a robotic arm (160) that inserts a front mold (40) into a bore (30) of the gasket (20), and a piston (134) that inserts a rear mold (50) into the bore (30) of the gasket (20). The robot arm (160) or the piston (134) moves its respective mold (40, 50) within the bore (30) of the gasket (20) to axially position the molds (40, 50) relative to one another. The invention further includes a needle (25) that inserts fluid into the bore (30) of the gasket (20) to facilitate axial movement of the molds (40, 50) relative to each other. The invention further includes a needle (250) that injects a lens-forming fluid into the bore (30) of the gasket (20) intermediate the molds (40, 50), which fluid cures and forms a lens.

    摘要: A method of replacing a lost denture includes the steps of forming a mold 20 as an impression of the original denture, and of fabricating a replacement denture using this mold. The mold consists of a tissue side mold section and an exterior side mold section. The tissue side mold section is made of a dimensionally stable material, such as dental stone or an addition-cured silicon rubber, so that the tissue side on the denture can be accurately reproduced at a later time. The exterior side mold is made of a resilient material, so that the original denture and its duplicate can be removed from the mold. An injection passage and overflow passages can be drilled into the exterior side mold section so that a liquid resin can be injected to adequately fill the mold cavity to form the gum portion of the duplicated denture.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method in which a magnetic powder is packed into a cavity (c) of a rubber mold (m) comprising a rubber material at least a part of which is a mixture of rubber and magnetic powder, and then the rubber mold filled with the magnetic powder are subjected to a magnetic field and a pressure with punches (2a , 2b), thereby compressing the powder to form powder compact.
    This makes the distribution of magnetic field in the cavity of the rubber mold more homogeneous, and therefore, the distortion, cracking and chipping caused by inhomogenity of the distribution of the magnetic field are prevented, and the resultant powder compact becomes more near-net-shaped i.e., closer to the end product.
