    摘要: The proposed high pressure gas discharge valve for a fire-extinguishing or explosion- preventing system comprises: a valve body (14) with a gas inlet channel (16) and a gas outlet channel (18); a valve seat (24) arranged between the channels (16; 18); and a triggering chamber (26); a closing piston (34) which is slidably movable within the valve body (14) and has a first end portion forming a pressure surface (44) in the triggering chamber (26), a second end portion forming a sealing surface, with which it can be sealingly pressed against the valve seat (24), and a pressure compensation channel (60) via which the triggering chamber (26) communicates with the inlet channel (16) when the closing piston (34) rests on the valve seat (24); a triggering port (30) in communication with the triggering chamber (26), for connecting thereto a low pressure triggering device (12) that is capable of generating a pressure drop in the triggering chamber (26); and a pressure-reducing valve (64) for reducing a pressure (P1) of high pressure gas to a reduced pressure (P2) suitable for the low pressure triggering device (12). According to the proposed invention, the pressure-reducing valve (64) is integrated into the closing piston (34) designed so as to seal the pressure compensation channel (60) in the closing piston (34) when the pressure in the triggering chamber (26) is higher than the reduced pressure (P2) and to open the pressure compensation channel (60) when the pressure in the triggering chamber (26) is lower than the reduced pressure (P2). Furthermore, the pressure surface (44) of the closing piston (34) in the triggering chamber (26) is dimensioned so that the closing piston (34) is firmly pressed against the valve seat (24), when the pressure in the triggering chamber (26) equals the reduced pressure (P2).

    摘要: A smoke/pollution detection apparatus embodying a manifold valve assembly (11) including four inlet ports leading into a spreader cone (12) for deflecting gas/airstream, drawn from a plurality of zones under surveillance through a pipe reticulation system comprising a plurality of pipes communicating with said zones, from the manifold (11) around the top of a dust filter (10). A valve means including a reciprocating, rotating matching thin conical bell (14) situated over the cone (12) may be raised to an upward position where a hole (15) is arranged to be aligned with one of the ports such that the others are blocked, and gas/airstream from the particular pipe joined to the open port is sampled. Selective closing of the inlet ports to the assembly (11) allows the locality of a zone of any detected smoke/pollution to be quickly identified by the apparatus and in which all ports to the apparatus remain open under normal circumstances (no pollution detected) and all monitored zones remain coupled to a detector and there is no power drawn nor any movement of any parts including the valve means in the inoperative condition.

    摘要: A liquid flow control valve has a valve body (10) in which is mounted a valve member (41) moveable between valve open and closed positions. A turbine (15) senses liquid flow through the valve body (10) and generates electrical pulses which are counted by a control circuit, over a pre-set period. An electro-magnet (54, 55) controls operation of the valve member (41) and is driven by the control circuit so as to close the valve in the event that flow continues for longer than the pre-set period or the flow is greater than at a pre-set rate. The valve may also be closed should the temperature fall to about 0 °C.
