    摘要: The invention relates to a thermostat valve arrangement for the cooling circuit of an internal combustion engine, wherein the main valve member of main valve is moveably mounted in a housing, said member being able to be pressed against a main valve seat by a spring, wherein a bypass valve member of a bypass valve is also provided, said bypass valve member co-operating with a bypass valve in the housing, and wherein a first section of an expansion material element (DWE) co-operates with a counter bearing which is fixed to the housing and a second section co-operates with the main valve member and the bypass valve member. The main valve or bypass valve are selectively closed or opened in order to produce the cooling circuit of an internal combustion engine by means of a cooler or a bypass. The main valve seat is formed by a conical seat surface in the housing. The main valve member forms a valve unit with an axially distanced piston-shaped bypass valve member, said valve unit receiving the expansion material element in an axial recess in one direction in an axially secure manner. The other end of the expansion material element is supported by a counter bearing of the housing, the valve unit is displaceably and axially guided in a guide component which is axially supported in the housing. A valve spring operates between the valve unit and the guide component. Said valve spring pretenses the unit in the direction of the main valve seat and the valve unit and the guide component are provided with interacting stops which are used to limit movement of the parts away from each other. The piston-shaped bypass valve co-operates with a hollow cylindrical section of the guide component.

    摘要: A flame-retardant pressure equalizing valve contains a valve body (3) that is guided in a housing (1). Under the influence of excess pressure, the valve body (3) is displaceable from a closing position into a blow-off position. The housing (1) and the valve body (3) form a first closure (8) and, in series therewith, a second closure (9). The surface of the second closure (9) projected in the opening direction (7) is larger than the surface of the first closure (8) projected in the opening direction (7) and the first closure (8) opens during opening before the second closure (9), so that, during opening, the excess pressure acts on an enlarged surface and the valve is opened promptly. The second closure (9) is spaced from the first closure (8) in opening direction (7). As a result, a better closing behavior and an increased outlet velocity of the outflowing gas are obtained.

To make the valve proof against counter-pressure, the area of the valve seat (3) corresponds to the active area of the separating diaphragm (9').

An annular shoulder is formed in the housing to define a valve seat (19). A piston (22) is slidable in the housing (10) and a spring (30) biases the piston (22) into engagement with the seat (19). The spring (30) is retained by a cap (32). A seal between the piston (22) and the seat (19) is made by an 0-ring (25) located in an annular groove (23). Passageways (37) adjacent the seat (19) communicate the exterior and interior of the housing (10). The total cross-sectional area of the passageways (37) is less than the area of the second bore portion (20) causing, in operation, a pressure build-up in the first portion (18) below the piston (22) which increases piston movement.
    The pressure relief valve is particularly suitable for use on life rafts.
