A manufacturing method of a waterproof and breathable shoe has a step of preparing a mold (S1). Then, the mold is soaked into the rubber material (S2), and the rubber material can cohere to a surface of the mold. Then, the rubber material cohering to the surface of the mold is dried to form into a thin and integrally molded shoe body on the surface of the mold (S3). Then, an inside layer is combined with the shoe body (S4). Then, the inside layer and the shoe body are reversed inside out and stripped off from the mold at the same time (S5). Finally, the sole is combined with a bottom of the shoe body (S5) to form the waterproof and breathable shoe. Therefore, the shoe can provide a waterproof and breathable effect.

One or more shapes, which are substantially flat but capable of shaping themselves complementarily with respect to the different thicknesses of the stitched seams and of the superimposed parts which constitute the outer surface of the semimanufactured component of an upper (12) are then prepared, and the membrane (13) is then coupled to the semimanufactured component of an upper (12), with the outer part of the semimanufactured component arranged so that the outer surface rests on the shape. The upper (12) is then finished by making it assume the correct three-dimensional configuration and associating it with an insole (14), and finally a sole (16) is associated with the upper (12) and the insole (14).

Methods for making footwear products include: (a) applying cement to a surface of an upper and/or midsole; (b) cooling the upper and/or midsole so that these parts will move relative to one another despite the cement’s presence; and (c) placing the midsole in the upper. Additional methods include: (a) providing an upper having an interior chamber; (b) placing a prelast member including a midsole allowance part into the chamber; (c) removing the prelast member; and (d) placing a midsole in the chamber. The upper and/or midsole may have cement applied thereto and may be cooled before the insertion step, as described above. When sufficiently cooled, the cement will not immediately bind the parts contacting it, but it will allow relative movement of these parts. After the midsole is positioned in the upper, the assembly may be heated to activate the cement and fix the parts together.
