A web of material die cut into a general outline of a shoe upper or sock structure is disclosed. The web of material is either a multi-layer, three dimensional weave fabric material, or a single layer fabric material with a relatively smooth appearance. The fabric is then wrapped around a heat resistant mold and heat or steam is applied to shrink the fabric around the mold to form a flexible, form fitting, unitary piece. The shoe upper or sock structure is perfectly shaped to the mold and can also be made to custom fit other mold shapes as well.

Disclosed is a vamp 3D-printing system. Mainly, by using a 3D-printing device comprising at least one fixed printing head and a rotatable printing head, printable materials are overlapped and printed on a vamp assembly by means of cooperation of the fixed printing head and the rotatable printing head according to a preset printing program of a computer. In this way, the technical effects are achieved that vamp pattern styles having thick and thin line changes and high precision of printing positions are printed by using more two printing heads; in addition, manufacturing costs are actually reduced and manufacturing procedures are actually simplified by applying the 3D-printing technology to printing of vamp pattern styles.

The method comprises: placing a base layer and at least one trim layer on a last member, wherein the last member has an approximate geometry of a foot and has a hollow interior; pulling a pressing layer against the base layer, the at least one trim layer, and the last member by creating a vacuum between the pressing layer and the last member; flowing hot air into the hollow interior while the pressing layer is pulled against the base layer; and removing the base layer and the at least one trim layer from the last member after the at least one trim layer has fused to the base layer.

The method includes the steps of providing a first polymer film, applying a curable release coating to the polymer film in a pattern that corresponds to the configuration of the inflatable bladder, curing the release coating to the first polymer film, providing a second polymer film with the first polymer film to form a layered element such that the release coating is disposed between the polymer films, positioning the layered element between two plies of material, applying heat and pressure to adhere the polymer films together except in the area where the release coating has been applied to form an inflatable compartment surrounded by a sealed perimeter, and removing the plies of material from the adhered first and second polymer films.
