The device (1) according to the invention is characterized in that at least one immersion bath device (10) that also accommodates the liquid or pasty medium (2) is arranged upstream from the liquid sump (8) and the roller gap (N) as viewed in the web movement direction (L) of the moving fibrous web (3).
