Die Erfindung löst das Problem des Regenerierens bzw. Ausrichtens von im Einsatz deformierten bzw. offenen Profilstählen, vorzugsweise Spundwandprofilen oder wasserdichten Pfählen, welche bei Ingenieur- und Industriebauten verwendet werden. Das erfindungsgemässe Regenerierungsverfahren besteht darin, dass ein deformierter Profilstahl auf die metallplastizierende Temperatur vorgewärmt und danach durch eine entsprechend profilierte Öffnung einer Führung hindurchgezogen wird. Eine Anlage zur Durchführung dieses Regenerierungsverfahrens umfasst eine Mehrzahl Azetylenbrenner (1), welche vor einem Gehäuse (3) mit einer auswechselbaren Führung (4) mit einer in Form des entsprechenden Profilstahles profilierten Öffnung (5) angeordnet sind, und eine Räummaschine (8), mit welcher der zu regenerierende Profilstahl in bekannter Weise verbunden wird. Die Anlage kann zusätzlich mit einer Berieselungsvorrifhtung, welche aus einem Kühlflüssigkeitsbehälter (6) und Berieselungsdüsen (7) besteht, ausgerüstet sein. Das Verfahren und die Anlage ermöglichen ein mehrmaliges Verwenden von im Einsatz zuvor deformierten offenen Profilstählen.
