    摘要: A tool holder assembly (10) that includes a tool holder member adapted to be secured to a machine tool and a cutting insert support/clamp (10b) for clamping and supporting a cutting insert (12). The support/clamp member includes a plurality of serrations (80) that are engageable with complementally formed serriions (82) on the tool holder whereby a tight fitting engagement is achieved using removable fasteners (16). The support/clamp includes a clamping arm (26)elastically movable towards and away from a support base and a clamping block (52) connected to the connecting arm adapted to receive clamping forces from a threaded clamping bolt (50). The clamping bolt (50) defines a force applying surface (62a) located in a first plane whereas the clamping block defines a force receiving surface (60a) located in a second plane, the first and second planes located at a diverging angle with respect to each other. The clamping block (52)includes an edge portion (79) engageable with a step (78) on the tool holder that is spaced from the clamping arm. The diverging planes and the engagement of the clamping block with the stepped portion increases the force applied by the clamping arm to the cutting insert for a given adjustment of the clamping bolt and resists rollover of the insert.

The clamping jaw (110) is narrowed down adjacent the front extremity portion (118), such that the clamping surface (112) overhangs the front extremity portion (118) of the curved inner surface (116), in a direction towards the base jaw (106) and away from the front plane (F).

    摘要: The invention relates to a cutting tool of the type that comprises a replaceable cutting insert (2) and a basic body (1), which includes a rear fixing part (5), a front supporting part (6), and a tightening part (7) situated over the support part. The tightening part (7) is spaced-apart from the two other parts (5, 6) via two gaps (8, 9) and connected to the rest of the basic body via elastic material portions (26) that form a joint for the tightening part. In such a way, the tightening part can be pivoted and clamp the cutting insert by means of a tightening element (27). In a known way, the fixing part (5) comprises an internal channel (13) for feed of a cooling liquid or fluid in the forward direction through the basic body (1). According to the invention, the channel (13) extends into a second channel (32) inside the tightening part (7) via a channel section (33) that is entirely or partly housed in a bridge (28), which, like the joint, is formed of the material in the basic body, and which bridges one (9) of the two gaps. In a second aspect, the invention also relates to a basic body for cutting tools of the kind in question.
