A method and apparatus provides for the formation of compression dosage units from tableting feedstock (36). A feedstock dossiter (10) is provided including an open ended chamber (26) for insertion into a reservoir containing the tableting feedstock. The dossiter includes a movable die punch (30) which is movable within the chamber between at least two positions. A first position away from the open end (24) of the chamber provides for the collection of a preselected volume of tableting feedstock from the reservoir. The die punch is movable to a second position which effects formation of the tablet within the accumulation chamber. The dossiter may be used with a fixed die punch to form the tablet.

Die Erfindung betrifft Verfahren und eine Tablettenpresse (1) zum automatisierten Herstellen einer vorgebbaren Anzahl von individualisierten Tabletten (101, 102, 103) mit einer vorgebbaren Menge eines ersten Wirkstoffs (14). Die Tablettenpresse (1) umfasst einen Pressraum (2), einen Aufnahmeraum (3) zur Aufnahme eines Tablettenbehälters (100), einen mit dem ersten Wirkstoff (14) befüllbaren ersten Materialbehälter (10), der eine erste Dosiervorrichtung (12) aufweist, ein Steuerungssystem (6) und eine Eingabevorrichtung (30). Der Pressraum (2) weist einen vertikal auslenkbaren Oberstempel (40), einen vertikal auslenkbaren Unterstempel (50) und wenigstens eine Matrize (60, 61, 62) auf. Die Eingabevorrichtung (30) umfasst Eingabemittel (32, 33, 34) zur Eingabe einer Sollanzahl (35), die die Anzahl herzustellender Tabletten angibt, und einer Sollmasse (36), die die Menge des ersten Wirkstoffs pro Tablette (101, 102, 103) angibt. Die Eingabevorrichtung (30) ist dazu eingerichtet ist, die Sollanzahl (35) und die Sollmasse (36) an das Steuerungssystem (6) zu übermitteln. Das Steuerungssystem (6) ist dazu eingerichtet, die erste Dosiervorrichtung (12), den Oberstempel (40) und den Unterstempel (50) derart anzusteuern, dass eine Menge des ersten Wirkstoffs (14), die der Sollmasse (36) entspricht, in eine zentrale Öffnung (60a, 61a, 62a) der Matrize (60, 61, 62) gefüllt und mittels des Oberstempels (40) und des Unterstempels (50) zu einer Tablette (101, 102, 103) gepresst wird und diesen Vorgang so oft zu wiederholen, bis die Sollanzahl (35) an Tabletten (101, 102, 103) hergestellt wurde.
