    摘要: The present dot printer comprises a suspension spring and frame element (1) constituted by two identical E-shaped plate spring elements (2, 3), having each a stile (10), and an upper (11), a central (12) and a lower (13) legs. A member (7) supporting the dot printing elements (22) is connected to the upper pair of legs (10) and positioned in front of and parallely to a platen (26). The central pair of legs (11) are connected to a frame piece (9) which is rigdly affixed to the printer frame. The upper and lower pairs of legs (10, 12) are connected together through a bar (6). Both stiles (10) of both E-shaped elements (2, 3) are also connected together. Driving means (14,15,16) connected to the free ends of both the upper and lower pairs of legs (10, 12), imparts a reciprocating motion, thereto, with a substantial linear velocity, in a direction parallel to a print line. The linear velocity is obtained either through electronic or mechanical means.

    摘要: @ A dot matrix printer is described in which the dots are formed by impact at an intersection between an oblique raised ridge (2) on a platen (1) and a vertical ridge font member (4) borne by a moving belt (3). Moving belt (3) bears a plurality of font members each mounted on a flexible finger (13) which can be deflected out of the path of the moving belt by impact from a printer hammer mechanism (6). The platen (1) and the moving belt (3) are arranged parallely to and along a printing line. The platen may have a plurality of raised knife-edge ridges on its surface. By appropriate timing of hammer actuations, individual font members (4) may be caused to impact against the ridges on the platen. If the paper and a ribbon are interposed between the font members (4) and a knife-edge ridges (2) on the platen, a mark in the shape of the intersectional area between the font and the knife-edge ridge can be made.

    摘要: A printer is provided with a partial line turnaround device. The printer has means (234,235) to move a form or document past a print line, and a print assembly (35) incorporating a plurality of print wires arranged in print head groups, each group comprising a predetermined number of print wires. If, as an example, the print assembly has two, four, six, or eight print heads, each can accommodate eight wires in the embodiment described The print wires are arranged in a slanted serrated pattern and provision is made herein to insure that the print heads move at least far enough to print their assigned character locations prior to the performance of any turnaround in individual lines being printed.
