摘要: A capping mechanism for a print engine includes a capping member (592) mountable in alignment with a printhead of the print engine. The capping member is displaceable into and out of abutment with the printhead for capping and uncapping the printhead respectively. A torsion bar (728) arrangement acts on the capping member for displacing the capping member. A mechanical displaceable element (570) co-operates with the torsion bar arrangement such that, when the element is in a parked position, the element engages the torsion bar arrangement to cause the capping member to be displaced into abutment with the printhead to cap the printhead. When the displaceable element is out of its parked position, the capping member is urged by leaf spring (734) by the torsion bar arrangement out of abutment with the printhead. Element (570) also moves a cutting device (566) for separating the printed sheet after printing.

摘要: An ejector mechanism (576) for a print engine (500) includes a support member (510) carrying a plurality of fluid conduits (514) for feeding fluids from a source of each fluid to a printhead (516) of the print engine (500), one of the fluid conduits being an air feed conduit for feeding air to the printhead (500). A seal (544) is displaceably arranged relative to the support member (510) for sealing inlet openings of the fluid conduits (514) when the seal (544) is in a first position. The seal (544) is displaceable to a second position to expose the openings of the fluid conduits (514) to place the fluid conduits (514) in fluid communication with their respective sources of fluid. A coil spring (588) acts on the seal (544) for urging the seal to its first position.
