摘要: A subsea anchoring assembly, comprises an anchor (103), a locking head (11) for connection of a mooring line (10) to the anchor (103), and a socket (121) provided on the anchor (103). The socket (121) has a seat to receive and seat the locking head (11) within the socket (121). The socket (121) has a neck provided with a guide device to direct the locking head (11) into alignment with the socket (121). The locking head (11) and the socket (121) can move between a first configuration in which the locking head (11) and the socket (121) are separate, and a second configuration in which the locking head (11) and the socket (121) are locked together. The guide device comprises a pair of splayed arms (123a, 123b) and a landing enclosure (124) with a substantially continuous boundary extending from one side of the neck to the other. The outer ends of the splayed arms (123a, 123b) extend so that they connect to one another to form the boundary. An associated anchoring method is also described.

摘要: The invention concerns a system for mooring a first floating structure (2) to a second structure (1), for example an FAU to an FPSO. The system comprises a main positioning arrangement (4) for maintaining the first floating structure (2) at a predetermined distance (lc) from the second structure (1). The system further comprises an auxiliary positioning arrangement (3, 3a, 3b) or a back-up system for mooring the first floating structure (2) to an underlying seabed by for example an anchor. This auxiliary positioning arrangement is configured to establish, in case of malfunctioning of the main positioning arrangement, a resultant force (Fres) acting on the first floating structure (2), which force has a magnitude and direction that ensures maintenance of a minimum distance (lmin) between the first floating structure (2) and the second structure (1). The resultant force is the total force acting on the first floating structure and involves for example a surge added mass, a damping force, a horizontal force component from the auxiliary positioning arrangement and a total force from the main positioning arrangement.

摘要: A taut-inverted-catenary (TIC) mooring system may be implemented using only field-proven components. The mooring lines yield a positive uplift force on the anchors in all conditions. In the inverted-catenary configuration, geometric stiffness is provided by a subsurface spring buoy or distributed buoyancy elements on the line. The TIC system consists as much as possible of lightweight components, such as polyester fiber rope. Since the uplift force on the anchor is always positive, clearance between polyester rope and the seabed is provided. All geometric stiffness is provided by the spring buoy. Therefore, a ground chain between the seafloor anchor and the fiber rope is not necessary.
