    摘要： An acrylamide derivative of general formula (I) is used to prepare a polymer or copolymer: wherein R represents a hydrogen atom, a straight-chain or branched alkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a C3-6 cycloalkyl group, R and R each independently represent an alkylene group containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms or R and R may be combined to form a ring, X represents a hydrogen atom, an amino group, a hydroxyl group, a halogen atom, a carboxyl group or a -COOR group wherein R represents a C1-6 straight-chain or branched alkyl, C3-6 cycloalkyl, phenyl, substituted phenyl, benzyl or substituted benzyl group, and Y represents an amino group, a halogen atom, a carboxyl group or a -COOR group wherein R represents a C1-6 straight-chain or branched alkyl, C3-6 cycloalkyl, phenyl, substituted phenyl, benzyl or substituted benzyl group. The thus obtained polymer or copolymer is a polymer or hydrogel incorporating many functional groups while maintaining the sensitive temperature response.

    摘要： A water-soluble monomer is shown by general formula (1) below. This monomer, for example, can be obtained by reacting asparagic acid and maleic anhydride in an aqueous basic solution under cooled conditions. A water-soluble polymer has a structural unit of general formula (2) below and a weight-average molecular weight of about 800 to about 8,000,000, and is, for example, produced by polymerizing a monomer including the water-soluble monomer of general formula (1). The water-soluble polymer has excellent chelating and dispersing actions and therefore can favorably be used for various purposes, such as, detergent compositions, inorganic-pigment dispersants, fiber-treating agents, water-treating agents, wood pulp-bleaching assistants.
