摘要： A contoured handle (310) for a surgical lighting fixture (14); also, a disposable sterile cover (10, 110, 210) for a contoured handle (12). The contoured handle (310) includes apertures (323, 423, 523) for venting trapped air from inside a handle cover while fitting the cover over the handle. The sterile cover (10, 110, 210) is formed from a thin-walled flexible material and is shaped to match the configuration of the handle (12). The cover includes a flange portion (30, 130, 234) and a grip portion (26, 126, 226). The grip portion may include expandable channels (38, 138, 238) which facilitate fitting the cover over the handle. A length of pressure sensitive tape (44) may be wrapped around the cover (10) for securing the cover to the handle. A rigid or semi-rigid flange (152) may be attached to the upper surface of the cover flange (130).

摘要： The lamp handle cover system for surgical lamps includes a semi-permanent, non-disposal surgical lamp (B) handle and its accessory component, a sterile disposable semi-flexible handle cover (c), which, provides an aseptic medium by which a surgical team member can manually adjust the operating room lamp during a surgical procedure, thereby preventing accidental or unknown incidental contamination. The non-disposable lamp handle (B) includes an ergonomically designed grip handle (4) and a locking/coupling assembly (2) which couples the grip handle (4) to the male component of the convention surgical lamp. The sterile disposable handle cover (c) is formed from a flexible sleeve (8) closed at one end and having a relatively rigid collar (6) formed about the opposite end. The handle cover (c) can easily slide over the grip handle (4) to engage the locking/coupling assembly (2) which holds the handle cover (A) in a secure position.
