    摘要: An oil boiler according to the present disclosure includes a combustion chamber in which a combustion reaction occurs, a burner including a fuel nozzle that sprays fuel of an oil type into the combustion chamber, an air nozzle that injects air into the combustion chamber, and a spark plug that ignites a mixture of the fuel and the air, an air supply pipe that guides the air supplied to the air nozzle, a duct that releases combustion gas, a heat exchanger that heats heating water by heat from the combustion reaction, and a case that receives said components. The duct includes a flue connecting adaptor to which a corrugated pipe and a flue are connected, in which the corrugated pipe is connected to an inlet of the air supply pipe into which the air is introduced, and the flue releases the combustion gas to the outside of the case.

    摘要: The object is to prevent damage to and overheating of an electric wire for electric discharge/ignition of a burner, thereby increasing its life, without increase in cost. The burner includes a housing 1, an intake pipe 3 and a burner head 4. Gas in the housing 1 is supplied to the burner head 4 through the intake pipe 3. An electric wire 8 extends through the intake pipe 3 which connects a piezoelectric element 7 to a core wire 10 from which electric discharge is generated near burner ports 9 of the burner head 4 by the piezoelectric element 7. Since the wire 8 is not exposed to outside the intake pipe 3, the wire 8 is never caught and damaged by an external object. Since air-gas mixture which is kept at around the room temperature is flowing through the intake pipe 3, the wire 8 is less likely overheat during use of the burner. Thus, it is not necessary to provide the wire 8 with a shield plate for protecting the wire 8. This simplifies the manufacturing steps and thus reduces the manufacturing cost.

    摘要: A spark detector indicates the presence of a spark by analyzing sound waves generated when an electrical spark is produced from an electrical spark generator located on an igniter rod. The spark detector includes an acoustic sensor that is in communication with the igniter rod to determine the time for the spark sound wave to travel through the igniter rod to the acoustic sensor. If a spark is not detected, the spark detector may output a signal indicating at least one of (i) the spark was not detected, (ii) to replace the electrical spark generator immediately, or (iii) replace the electrical spark generator soon such as at the next scheduled maintenance. Furthermore, the spark detector may be calibrated based on current temperature of the igniter rod based upon time of propagation of a pulse sound wave, generated by a pulse-echo generator, to reflect off an end of the igniter rod.
