In an electronic timepiece with a depth gauge, having a power supply battery, a timepiece circuit, a display unit, a water pressure sensor, a depth gauge circuit for receiving a sensor signal from the water pressure sensor and generating a water depth information signal, a mode control circuit for switching a timepiece mode and a depth gauge mode, and a display switching circuit for selectively displaying the time information signal from the timepiece circuit or the water depth information signal from the depth gauge circuit in response to a control signal from the mode control circuit, there are provided a battery voltage detector for detecting a voltage drop of the battery, and a waste time detector for detecting a nondive state represented by the depth gauge detector. The mode control circuit is forcibly set in the timepiece mode in response to a detection signal from the battery voltage detector or the waste time detector.

A vibratable element whose resonant frequency changes in accordance with an external source of variable applied pressure, has an inner cavity in fluid communication with the source of applied pressure, so that variations therein produce corresponding changes in the internal pressure of the cavity. Increases in this internal pressure cause the flexible walls surrounding the cavity to expand outwardly, thereby increasing the mechanical stiffness of the element. The increased stiffness produces a corresponding increase in the resonant frequency. Conversely, a decrease in pressure allows the walls to slacken and reduce the overall stiffness of the element. A linear relationship exists between changes in applied pressure and changes in the resonant frequency, over an appreciable range of pressures. An optical scheme detects the frequency, and conventional electronics correlate the frequency to the corresponding pressure, or to another physical variable represented by the applied pressure.

Vorrichtung zur Befestigung von druckbeaufschlagten, pneumatischen Bauelementen in einer Grundplatte. Das Bodenstück des Bauelements weist ein in eine Ausnehmung der Grundplatte passendes, zylindrisches Mittelteil auf, in welches eine zur Mittelachse geneigte ebene Fläche eingear beitet ist und gegen welche ein in der Grundplatte geführter Bolzen mit keilartigem Schaftabschnitt verspannbar ist. Mit einer derartigen Vorrichtung lassen sich Bauele mente, wie Federbälge, Federrohre, Membrandosen, wie sie in Geräten der pneumatischen Meß-, Regel- und Steuertech nick Verwendung finden, einfach und maßgenau in deren Grundplatte einsetzen.
