Abstract: Techniques for using machine learning to produce vehicle location sensor data from vision sensor data are disclosed. By using a limited amount of vehicle location sensor data together with vision sensor data, a deep learning network can be trained to produce estimated vehicle location sensor point cloud distributions from, e.g., vision sensor data alone. Using a deep learning network trained in this way, vehicles with limited or no sensor functionality can be equipped with a camera to produce estimated vehicle location sensor point cloud distributions. These estimated vehicle location sensor point cloud distributions can then be compared with general sensor point cloud distributions to improve detection of vehicles, environmental objects, and ghost objects, and subsequently used to improve vehicle safety through vehicle controls or driver notifications and/or to produce enhanced sensor data.

Abstract: An image processing method is provided, comprising: obtaining a forward view of a vehicle, wherein the forward view at least shows an area in front of the vehicle; obtaining parameters of a camera used to capture the forward view, the parameters including extrinsic parameters of the camera; and inputting the forward view and the camera parameters into a neural network model to obtain a semantically segmented top-down view. Thus, an end-to-end method is provided, which avoids distortions that may occur during the transformation of features from the forward view to features in the top-down view.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for recognizing a special road condition, an electronic device and a storage medium are provided. The method includes: on the basis of massive vehicle parameters uploaded by massive vehicles to a server in real time, recognizing a road area with a special road condition in real time based on big data of the vehicle parameters through a pre-trained recognizing model for the special condition, and based on images or video frames including content of the special road condition uploaded by the vehicles in real time, further recognizing a scenario type of the special road condition through a feature module of image features and special road condition scenarios; and marking, on map data, special road condition information such as a feature type and the scenario type of the special road condition, and duration of the special road condition of the scenario type obtained through statistical analysis of the big data, so as to support navigation route planning, reminding of approaching the special road condition, driving decision-making for passing through the special road condition by the vehicles based on the map data. This ensures real-timeness and accuracy of special road condition recognition, and effectively improves efficiency and safety of vehicle traveling.
