According to one embodiment, an ultrasonic generator (10) includes ultrasonic transducers (22) and a drive unit (12). The ultrasonic transducers (22) each generate an ultrasonic wave. The drive unit (12) supplies a drive signal generating the ultrasonic wave to each of the ultrasonic transducers (22), and changes phase of the drive signal supplied to a second ultrasonic transducer (22-2) relative to the drive signal supplied to a first ultrasonic transducer (22-1). The second ultrasonic transducer (22-2) is located in a position in which a traveling direction of a combined wave front of a first combined wave is aligned with a frontal direction, the first combined wave being formed by combining the ultrasonic waves generated by the first ultrasonic transducer (22-1) and the second ultrasonic transducer (22-2), wherein the position is more frontward in the frontal direction of the first ultrasonic transducer (22-1) than the first ultrasonic transducer (22-1).
