摘要： The applicant has devised a turntable platter for record players, consisting of two layers of glass and plastic lying one on top of the other. More precisely the plastic layer can be of a thermoplastic and/or thermosetting material such as polycarbonate, polyacrylic, polystyrene or otherwise. The glass guarantees flatness, rigidity and pleasant appearance of the platter, such features not always being obtainable from the already known metal platters, while the plastic, for its part, guarantees the light weight associated with such material. The glass-plastic combination in the turntable platter represents considerable progress in the particular industrial field as it guarantees reaching several results, including, most especially, the absorption of spurious vibrations, and secondly, optimum sound reproduction quality. More especially, the first of these advantages is such that it is no longer necessary to use mats hitherto added to the already well known turntable platters. The two glass (5) and plastic (2) layers can be joined together by means of adhesive (3) or pushed together along the edges; they can also be of different sizes and shapes. It is advisable that the turntable platter obtained from said layers be provided with an upper layer (6), preferably less than one micron thick, of conductive material, either dielectric or metallic, in order to allow earthing the platter. The outer rim of the platter is transparent in order to permit immediate visibility of the indicator lamp used by the stroboscopic device, hence it is not necessary to use an intermediate light deviating prism.

摘要： A recording disk playback apparatus capable of playback of recording disks having digitized audio data recorded thereon, (CDs), disks having digitized audio data together with audio and video data recorded by frequency modulation recorded thereon (LDDs), and disks having only video and audio data recorded by frequency modulation thereon, (LDs) is provided with means for discriminating the type of disk which is to be played and for producing signals indicating the disk type, for switching control purposes. The discrimination means will reliably distinguish between LDs and LDDs, even if these are of identical size.

摘要： n recording and/or reproducing equipment, a recording member (3) is utilised which comprises upper and lower, axially spaced centrally apertured recording discs (8a and 8b). Each recording disc has an annular recording layer (9) on its inner surface and an aperture (10) at its centre for rotatably mounting on a turntable (1). Upon rotating the turntable (1) with the recording member, the recording and reproducing device records information signals on, and reads information signals from, the recording layer (8) on either recording disc (8) by using a light beam. The light beam is positioned to strike only the recording layer on the lower recording disc. When the disc unit is turned on its other side, the previously positioned upper disc is then positioned as the lower disc to receive the light beam. The turntable comprises a perpendicularly orientated centering member (5) which engages the aperture (10) of a recording disc. The centering member centres the disc located on the turntable. The centering member (5) has an axial length such that it enters the aperture (10) in the lower recording disc (8) but does not protrude into the aperture in the upper recording disc.
