An electrical distribution assembly (11) includes an elongate flexible insulated housing (12) having a plurality of longitudinally extending slots (13-16), one slot (16) being in a face opposed to the face containing the other slots (13-15) each of which carry a conductor in the form of a hollow coil. The arrangement is such that the width of the slots decrease when the assembly is bent perpendicular to the slots. A connector for the distribution assembly is also provided. It has a plurality of tines, with associated socket means, to contact the hollow coil conductors. The tines, when received in the housing, are rotated to establish electrical contact. The hollow coil may be made from flat conductive material and the housing, in another embodiment, may substantially fill the core of a coiled hollow conductor and extend through the coils to form a longitudinally extended insulation portion. At least one longitudinal portion of the conductor is exposed for electrical contact.

High Q-value radio frequency (RF] coils are described. In general, the RF coils include multiple conductor layers that at least partially overlap to define a capacitive region that equalizes current flowing in each conductor. In some instances, the RF coil includes sets of layered conductors, where each set of layered conductors overlaps in an overlap region. In some other instances, the RF coil includes a spiraled conductor coupled to a dielectric material, where the number of turns of the spiral defines the overlap area. Multiple spiraled conductors can be interleaved. An equalization coil can also be provided to equalize currents along an axial dimension of each conductor in such RF coils. The thickness of the conductors is less than three skin depths, and preferably less than one skin depth, to overcome skin-depth limitations.

An aluminum (Al) alloy wire, which is an extra fine wire having a wire diameter of 0.5 mm or less, contains, in mass%, Mg at 0.03% to 1.5%, Si at 0.02% to 2.0%, at least one element selected from Cu, Fe, Cr, Mn and Zr at a total of 0.1% to 1.0% and the balance being Al and impurities, and has an electrical conductivity of 40% IACS or more, a tensile strength of 150 MPa or more, and an elongation of 5% or more. By producing the extra fine wire from an Al alloy of a specific composition containing Zr, Mn and other specific elements, though the extra fine wire is extra fine, it has a fine structure with a maximum grain size of 50 µm or less and is superior in elongation. A tensile strength after being retained for 1000 hours at an arbitrary temperature selected from 80°C to 150°C is 150 MPa or more, which is superior in heat resistance. Thereby, there is provided an Al alloy wire which is extra fine and superior in elongation while having a high strength and a high electrical conductivity, an Al alloy twisted wire, a covered electrical wire including the Al alloy wire or the Al alloy twisted wire, and a wire harness including the covered electrical wire.

This invention discloses a parallel spiral transmission line structure sensing cable for rock and soil deformation distributed measurement. A circular cross-section silicone rubber is tightly wounded by two insulated wires. The two insulated wires make the spiral cable. Out of the spiral cable is the silicone rubber pipe). They constitute a sensing cable. A termination matching impedance ZL is connected to one end of the two wires. TDR measurement instrument is connected to the other end of the two wires. This invention implements a distributed positioning and measuring rock and sail deformation. It solves the dilemma of "measuring at unchanged and the changed is not measured" in the landslides, ground subsidence and other geotechnical deformation monitoring. It provides good tool for distributed deformation measurement.
