摘要: A digital subscriber line arrangement includes a first downstream Access Node (AN) modem, a first upstream Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) modem, a second AN modem, a second CPE modem and first and second metallic pairs connected between the first and second modems, respectively. The first AN modem includes a length estimation module and a PSD mask selection module which together with a PSD mask store operate to select upstream and downstream PSD masks for use by the first CPE modem and the first AN modem, respectively. Selection of the masks depends upon the estimated line length and the manner in which neighboring communication link is operating. Additionally, a central controller is operable to perform selection or generation of such masks in a similar manner when centralized control over the PSD mask generation is desired.

摘要: There is provided mitigation of disconnect events in a vectoring based digital subscriber line, DSL, system. A method performed by a digital subscriber line access multiplexer, DSLAM, comprises detecting a loss of signal or disconnect event of a line in a vectored group of DSL lines, the loss of signal or disconnect event causing a negative impact on the DSL system. The method further comprises detecting a change in at least one downstream, DS, crosstalk coefficient of at least one line in said vectored group of DSL lines. The method further comprises determining a magnitude of said change. The method further comprises determining where the loss of signal or disconnect event has occurred by processing precoding coefficients of the vectored group of DSL lines. The method further comprises determining, on basis of the determined magnitude and where the loss of signal or disconnect event has occurred, an action to be performed by the DSLAM so as to mitigate for said negative impact.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices are described for minimizing mutual interference between networks that implement different protocols. In one embodiment, a first network device of a first network may exchange coexistence information with a second network device of a second network to determine whether to share resources or reduce transmit power based, at least in part, on the interference detected at the first network device from a transmission of the second network device. In one embodiment, both the first and the second network devices may independently and iteratively reduce their respective transmit power to minimize interference between the interfering networks. The first network device may reduce its transmit power based on an interference of the second network device and vice versa. In another embodiment, the network device with a lower priority may minimize its transmit power to reduce interference with the network device with a higher priority.
