摘要: A display assembly displays a virtual object in a select location wherein an eye viewing the virtual object has an expected gaze direction. Deformation of the display assembly is detected. The deformation causes the virtual object to be viewable in an altered location wherein the eye has altered gaze direction. The virtual object may be displayed in a corrected location wherein the eye viewing the virtual object in the correct location has a corrected gaze direction that is moved closer to the expected gaze direction than the altered gaze direction.

摘要: The coordinates of a gaze point of an observer viewing an object outside a vehicle are detected using an output from an interior camera. A two-dimensional aerial image forms at a position corresponding to the gaze point in outside image data. The aerial image is displayed on a luminous display surface and appears with an optical system that can change a display position in the air in the depth direction. When the aerial image is viewable by the observer, the gaze point is at a position at which image data projected on a retroreflective screen can be perceived as a stereoscopic image.

摘要: An improved eye tracking illumination system is disclosed. The system includes (i) an RGB laser device that is associated with a first collimating optic and (ii) an IR illumination device that is associated with a second collimating optic. The system also includes a DMA that has a MEMS mirror system. The DMA optically combines IR light and RGB light to generate combined light. The combined light is then directed towards a user's eye via a transport medium (e.g., a waveguide). One or more photodetector(s) are positioned to capture reflected light that is reflected off of the user's eye. The photodetectors include an IR detector configured to detect reflected IR light off of the user's eye in order to perform eye tracking.
