In addition, horizontal synchronous signals or vertical synchronous signals of image signals are used as multiple controls signals and separation control signals; and voice signals are time-axis-compressed on a transmitting side, multiplexed into gaps between video signals, and are time-axis-expanded on receiving side. The signal transmitting device and the signal receiving device constructed as above can implement a DVI standard-compliant signal transmission system that can transmit image signals along with voice signals.
