摘要: A bed protection device (100) is provided and comprises an absorbent pad (11) having first and second lateral edges. The absorbent pad comprises a liquid permeable topsheet (14) having first and second lateral edges, a liquid impermeable backsheet (15) and an absorbent layer (28) which is located between the topsheet and the backsheet. The bed protection device further comprises at least one wing (40). The one or more wings have first and second lateral edges (41, 43). One or more fasteners (45) are disposed at or adjacent to each of the first and second lateral edges of the absorbent pad on the topsheet or the backsheet and/or one or more fasteners are disposed at or adjacent to one or both of the first and second lateral edges of the one or more wings, such that the one or more wings are able to be releasably engaged with the absorbent pad at or adjacent to the first and/or second lateral edge of the absorbent pad on the topsheet or the backsheet by the one or more fasteners.

摘要: A wetting alert system having a sensor with a replaceable element, a transceiver with an input port for a legacy wireless receiver, an alert processor, an alert presenter, and a server. The replaceable element wicks fluid from a body exit, completing a circuit and sending an output signal. The alert processor determines if the output signal describes wetting; adjusts electrical properties of the sensor; turns off the sensor, preventing injury; and selects alert presenters to present alerts to caregivers, in series, parallel, or combinations. Alert presenters determine if caregivers are responding, and inform the alert processor. If caregivers fail to respond, the alert processor fails over the alert to other caregivers. The alert processor sends different alerts re different patients; caregivers can determine from the alert which patient the alert is for. The server maintains information re wettings and alerts, and is independently accessible by users.

摘要: A method, processing unit, and system for monitoring excrement data for seeking a pattern for a monitoring period includes acquiring excrement data including excrement data for at least two different time periods, each substantially corresponding to the monitoring period for which a pattern of events is sought. The excrement data is associated with at least one absorbent article and a person wearing said at least one absorbent article and includes information of excrement supply into an absorbent article in form of excrement events. Each excrement event has an associated time mark or associated time information from which an associated time mark may be derived. Further, the method includes providing a series of sequential non-overlapping time intervals, together substantially extending over the monitoring period, associating each time interval with a segment of a diagram, calculating a number of excrement events corresponding to each time interval for all time periods for which data is acquired, and associating the number of excrement events corresponding to each time interval with a corresponding segment of the diagram.
