Eine entsprechende Vorrichtung ist ebenfalls Teil der Erfindung.

Zur Erhöhung der Schnittqualität, insbesondere beim Stanzen hochfester martensitischer Werkstoffe oder auch beim Stanzen dicker Bleche, wird eine Blechhalteeinrichtung (2) vorgesehen, die das betreffende Werkstück (16) während des Stanzvorgangs fest einspannt. Die Spannkraft wird auf bis zu 40 % oder mehr Prozent der Stößelkraft erhöht. Insbesondere kann die von der Blechhalteeinrichtung (21) ausgeübte Kraft während des Werkstückdurchbruchs nochmals erhöht werden. Einerseits verbessert sich dadurch die Schnittqualität während sich andererseits eine effiziente Schnittschlagverhinderung an der Presse ergibt. Ein Schnittschlag ist wesentlich geschwächt oder tritt nicht auf.

A method for changing a force control gain expressed as a ratio of force error (e) to velocity command value in a control circuit performing a force control of a servo motor (14) driving a die cushion (13) disposed opposite to a slide (12) in a press machine (11). The method includes: obtaining a difference (M) between a displacement of the slide (12) and a displacement of the die cushion (13) in a state in which the slide (12) and the die cushion (13) collide with and are exerting force (F) on each other; detecting the force (F) when the difference (M) of the displacements is obtained; calculating a spring constant (K) of a structural portion based on a proportionality between the difference (M) of the displacements and the force (F), when regarding the structural portion including the slide (12) and the die cushion (13) as an elastic structure; and changing the force control gain based on the spring constant (K) using a fixed proportionality that exists between the force control gain and a reciprocal of the spring constant (K).

The control device (10) includes a slide speed detector (14) for detecting the speed of the slide, a die cushion speed detector (16) for detecting the speed of the die cushion, and a die cushion speed commanding part (18) for controlling the speed of the die cushion. When a tentative speed command of the die cushion is largely deviated from the detected slide speed, the command of the die cushion is corrected such that the absolute value thereof does not exceed the value calculated by adding the absolute value of the detected slide speed to a positive constant.

A device (110) for judging the collision of a slide (24) with a die cushion in a die cushion mechanism (20) which produces a force against the slide in a press machine using a servo motor (18) as a drive source, comprising force detection means (21) for detecting a force produced between the die cushion and the slide; and comparator means (95) for comparing a force detection value (Fd) detected by the force detection means with a predetermined threshold value (L1); wherein, when the force detection value becomes greater than the threshold value, it is so judged that the slide has come into collision with the die cushion. Thus, the collision is judged within a short period of time and reliably. The collision may be judged by comparing differentiated values (Fd', Fd") of the force detection value, slide position detection value (Y1d) or slide position instruction value (Y1c) or other related threshold values. There can be further used a system for judging a collision which executes a plurality of methods for judging the collision.
