    - a gantry beam having a passage opening for a beam to be machined;
    - feeding means for a beam to be machined, according to a straight feeding path of said beam that is oriented according to a first translation and insertion axis (X) of the beam through said passage opening;
    - a working unit comprising an electrospindle for coupling and driving the at least one working tool, said working unit being supported by means for moving said working unit according to at least one axis, or optionally two, three, four or five axes of movement, and wherein said at least one tool changing station comprising a tool magazine is provided, wherein said working unit is movable in said at least one tool changing station, with the electrospindle in a position of loading and/or unloading a tool in said tool magazine by means of automatic devices for coupling to a tool and/or uncoupling and unloading a tool. According to the invention, as a working tool which can be coupled and uncoupled to the electrospindle there is provided an intermediate tool-holder head having an input shaft which can be coupled to said output of the electrospindle and at least one output shaft provided with a coupling spindle of a further working tool, said output shaft being oriented with its axis perpendicular to the axis of the input shaft.
