The invention relates to a tool support (10) for tool holders (30) of rotationally driven tools (61). Said tools are driven by a rotatably mounted gear wheel (70) which is located on one side of the tool holder and which can be rotated about a gear wheel axis (72). The tool support is provided with a socket (22) for at least one tool holder and a first gear ring (80) which can be rotated about a gear ring axis (78) and moved around a first track (81), whereby said first track has a first gearing area (86) for the gear wheel on the tool holder side which lies adjacent to the gear wheel axis. The invention aims to improve the tool support in such a way, that the transmission ratio can be adapted in a simple manner. This is achieved by providing a second gear ring (90) on the tool support which can be rotated about the gear ring axis and moved around a second track (91); and by the second track having a second gearing area (96) for a gear wheel (110) on the tool holder side which lies adjacent to the gear wheel axis. Said gearing area extends to a greater radial distance from the gear wheel axis than the first gearing area and lies closer to the tool receiving element (60) in the direction of the gear wheel axis than said first gearing area.
