摘要: A polishing system includes an end effector (22), a calibration system (16), and a controller (14). The end effector (22) includes a polishing arm (38), a motor (40), and a tool head (42). The tool head (42) extends along a lengthwise axis between and to an inner end (94) and a tip end (96). The tool head (42) includes a belt tensioner (98) and a roller (100). The roller (100) is rotatable about a tool center point (135) of the tool head (42) at the tip end (96). The tool head (42) is configured to retain an abrasive belt extending between the motor (40) and the roller (100). The calibration system (16) includes an imaging device (146). The controller (14) includes a processor (140) in communication with a non-transitory memory (142) storing instructions, which instructions when executed by the processor (140), cause the processor (140) to control the imaging device (146) to acquire image data for the tool head (42), identify a position of the tool center point (135) using the image data, and store the identified position in the memory (142).

The first zones (88A; 90A) are distributed circumferentially about an axis (22) of the bladed rotor (20) in a first array. The second zones (88B-F; 90B-F) are distributed circumferentially about the axis (22) of the bladed rotor (20) in a second array. The method further includes controlling the robotic polishing device (46), at a controller (48), to polish the second zones (88B-F; 90B-F) using the robotic polishing device (46) based on a second operating parameter. The second operating parameter for the robotic polishing device (56) is different than the first operating parameter.
