    摘要: A powder metallurgy wire for a dot printer is disclosed which consists, by weight, of 1.5 to 2.8% C, 7.5 to 12.0% Cr, at least one kind selected from the group consisting of not more than 18.0% W and not more than 11.0% Mo which W and Mo meet the relationship of 12≦W+2Mo≦22, 3 to 10% V, 1.0 to 10% Co, not more than 1.0% Si, not more than 1.0% Mn, the balance Fe and incidental impurities, the value of the difference of (C-Ceq) being in the range of -0.5 to -0.15 where Ceq=0.06x%Cr + 0.033x%W + 0.063x%Mo + 0.2x%V. According to the composition, corrosion resistance and wear resistance are considerably improved, with light weight and high toughness.

    摘要: A wire printing head (10) for a high resolution printing machine is provided together with a method for its manufacture. The printer is of the type comprising a printing platen (12) for a recording medium (17) and a carriage (11) transversely movable with respect to the printing platen and mounting the printing head. The head comprises a guide matrix (29) adjacent the platen and a plurality of wires or needles (28) guided by the matrix. The wires are capable of longitudinal movement and define on the recording medium printing dots having an area less than the nominal section Sn of the wires. Each wire comprises a front portion (72) of constant section (Sr) which is reduced with respect to the nominal section (Sn) and extends for a minimised length of between 0.5 and 4 times inclusive the diameter (Dr) of the reduced section. The guide matrix supports slidably a terminal portion of the wires comprising the nominal section and lodges with play the frontal portion having the reduced section.

    摘要: A wire member of cemented carbide based on tungsten carbide contains a binder phase of 4 to 35 % by weight of at least one metal selected from the group consisting of cobalt and nickel, 1 to 50 ppm by weight of unavoidable impurities and a hard dispersed phase of balance tungsten carbide. The tungsten carbide has an average particle size ranging from 0.2 to 1 µm. A particle size of the impurities is not larger than 10 µm. The distance between an axis of the wire member and a point on a periphery of the wire member disposed farthest from the axis of the wire member is 0.025 to 1 mm. The wire member may contain a binder phase of 15 to 35 % by weight of at least one metal selected from the group consisting of cobalt and nickel, 1 to 50 ppm by weight of unavoidable impurities, and a hard dispersed phase consisting of 0.1 to 40 % by weight of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of carbides of metals in Groups IV A , V A and VI A of the Periodic Table other than tungsten, nitrides of metals in Groups IV A and V A of the Periodic Table and solid solution of at least two of the carbides and nitrides, and balance tungsten carbide. The hard dispersed phase also has an average particle size of 0.2 to 1 µm.
