This invention is about a coal feeding system (1) which feeds pulverized coal and oxygen separately and vertically through concentric pipes directly to the upper level of the reactor (R) at entrained flow gasification systems. The system (1) consists a top intake (2), a side intake (3), an air supply chamber (4), an oxygen port (5), an ultrasonic sensor port (6), an inner concentric pipe (7), and an outer concentric pipe (8). The system (1) also operates with a coal bunker (K), a screw feeder (B) for adjusting the coal mass flow rate from the coal bunker (K) through the coal feeding system (1) to the reactor (R), and a reactor (R) where the coal are sprayed from the coal feeding system (1) and gasified at high temperatures.

Also provided is a manometer (30) which measures the vacuum prevailing in a pipe (21) leading to the blocking element (13). In order to prevent clogging of the locking element (13) with particles of the pourable goods, the invention proposes that during the operation of the screw metering device (1) an overpressure be applied to the blocking element (13) to loosen the particles of pourable goods which adhere thereto.

There is also provided a paint supply device for an electrostatic powder painting device having a paint tank 51 for containing a powder paint and a painting gun 82 coupled to the paint tank through an injector 78 and a hose 81. This device further includes a discharge device 54 for discharging the powder paint out of the paint tank 51 and a hopper 55 for receiving the powder paint discharged by the discharge device. A screw feeder 58 is provided in the hopper. With this arrangement, the powder paint supplied at a uniform rate from the screw feeder is fed into the injector.

Apparatus for pneumatically conveying particulate material simultaneously to a plurality of destinations includes a chamber (6) into which the particulate material may be fed. The apparatus also includes a screw feeder (7) part of which extends through the chamber (6) and into a tube (8). Tube (8) extends beyond the end of the screw feeder (7) and, beyond said end, the tube (8) is split by partition (17) into a plurality of ducts (18, 19). The ducts (18, 19) in turn are connected to feed pipes (13, 14) which extend to destinations for the particulate material. The apparatus includes a gas supply (12) whereby material entering the ducts (18, 19) may be pushed along the feed pipes (13, 14) to the destinations.
