The invention provides a manifold block (140) for improving the efficiency of an internal combustion engine. The manifold block is arranged to be located between an inlet manifold and a cylinder head of the engine (130), and comprises a block of material having at least one manifold channel (110) there through. The manifold channel has an input end and an output end, wherein the input end is connected to the inlet manifold (102), and the output end is connected to the cylinder. The manifold channel includes at least one injector head channel (132) located towards its input end and adapted to receive a fuel injector. The manifold block may also incorporate one or more induction regulators for improving the efficiency of fuel/air mixing in the manifold channels (104, 106, 108, 110).

This disclosure relates to a centrifugal vortex system for preparing a liquid, such as fuel and includes a chamber housing defining a vortex chamber. An array of tangential apertures are formed in the chamber housing to permit fluid to be turbulently introduced into the vortex chamber to create a vortical flow of fluid through the vortex chamber. In one embodiment, a plurality of vortex chambers are arranged in series to allow the fluid to pass through several vortex chambers. In other eombodiments, the chamber housing may be stepped, textured, or both to increase the turbulence of the flow through the chamber. In yet another embodiment, a pressure differential supply jacket is provided to normalize the amount of flow through the tangential apertures according to the location of the apertures. A centrifuge chamber is also disclosed which has a plurality of output conduits on a bottom surface and a tapered extension member downwardly extending from a top surface to enhance the centrigugal flow of the fluid. Additionally, a bypass conduit is provided to selectively permit the flow to bypass one or more chambers.
