    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preclude an uncomfortable feeling of a driver by preventing a master cylinder from being communicated with a stroke simulator when a control means is started by a starting means, and further stroking a brake operating element such as a brake pedal.
    SOLUTION: When the brake pedal 12 is pressed beyond a prescribed amount (S20) and an electronic control device 78 is started by pressing the pedal 12 (S30), an electromagnetic opening/closing valve (ordinarily closed valve) 26 is maintained in a closed state, and the master cylinder 14 and the simulator 28 are disconnected. In that situation, electromagnetic opening/closing valves (cut-off valves) 24L, 24R are closed or maintained in closed states (S90) unless the pedal is released (S40). The braking force of each wheel is controlled by a brake-by-wire method in a brake pedal pressing startup control mode based on final target deceleration Gt calculated based on the average value Pma of master cylinder pressure Pm1 and Pm2 (S100-130).

A land 52 provided on a shaft 44 is in a sealing contact to an inner peripheral surface of the casing 42 and the other end of the movable blade 46 in an axial direction. An elastic second seal 54 is arranged between the land 52 and the other end of the fixed blade 40 in an axial direction. A support 56 of the shaft 44 is distanced from the land 52 by a gap 96 which has a width within a range of elasticity of the seals. The shaft 44 is movable in an axial direction within the range of the gap 96.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the engine stall in simple ways and obtain a small-sized hydraulic pump for controlling a stabilizer by reduction-correcting the torsion quantity of the stabilizer according to the reduction of the number of revolution of an engine mounted onto a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:The torsion quantity of a stabilizer M0 for jointing the right and left spring lower members in a vehicle is determined by a means M1 according to at least the car speed and steering angle. The stabilizer M0 is adjusted by a means M2 according to the determined torsion quantity. In this constitution, the number of revolution of an engine mounted on the vehicle is detected by a means M3. The torsion quantity of the stabilizer M0 is reduction-corrected by a means M4 according to the reduction of the detected number of revolution of the engine. Therefore, when the number of revolution of the engine reduces, engine stall can be prevented even if idle-up is not executed. Therefore, a hydraulic pump for controlling the stabilizer can be made small-sized.

Further, the means M3 and M4 for detecting the traveling speed and steering angle of the vehicle are installed. A means M5 for controlling the actuator M2 is installed so that the torsional force generated on the stabilizer M1 is increased. accompanied with the increase of the detected traveling speed in the case when the detected steering angle is below a prescribed value. Therefore, accompanied with the increase of the car speed, the stabilizer M1 is controlled so as to develop the original function.

The control device M0 includes means M1 for detecting a coefficient of friction between the whels and a road surface and means M2 for correcting the torsional quantity of the stabilizer according to the coefficient of friction detected. When the coefficient of friction is small, for example, the torsional quantity of the stabilizer is corrected to a relatively small value. Accordingly, when the vehicle is turned on the road surface having a low coefficient of friction, the generation of reverse rolling due to excess control of the torsional quantity of the stabilizer is prevented.

In this device, a means M7 decides whether or not a yawing angular speed, detected in a means M6, is placed in a rapid rotating condition exceeding a predetermined value. While a means M8 calculates an estimated yawing angular speed being based on the car speed and lateral acceleration, further a means M9 decides whether or not ratio of the yawing angular speed to the estimated yawing angular speed is in a rapid turning condition less than a predetermined value. When the yawing angular speed and its ratio to the estimated yawing angular speed are respectively placed in the rapid rotating condition and the rapid turning condition, a means M10 outputs an instruction, holding the torsional amount to the predetermined value, to the means M1.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a torque steer phenomenon by controlling solenoid valves so as to squeeze their valve opening areas based on signals from a control circuit when a vehicle is quickly accelerated during the nearly straight travel. CONSTITUTION:Solenoid valves 20, 21 controlling valve opening areas in response to the currents fed to their coils are incorporated in fluid feed/ discharge paths 18, 19 between a control valve 3 and a power cylinder 17; an acceleration meter 40 of a vehicle, a steering angle sensor 41 outputting a signal in response to the steering angle, and a control circuit 30 inputting these signals provided. When the vehicle is quickly accelerated during the nearly straight travel, the solenoid valves 20, 21 are controlled so as to squeeze their valve opening areas based on the signals from the control circuit 30. As a result, the fluid flow between the control valve 3 and the power cylinder 17 is suppressed. Accordingly, the steering sustaining performance is improved, and a torque steer phenomenon can be prevented.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the sharp change of the deceleration of a vehicle when a shift is made between a cooperative braking mode for friction braking and reclaiming braking and a single braking mode for friction braking. SOLUTION: A target reclaiming braking force and a target friction braking force are calculated on the basis of the normal deceleration rate Gbt of the vehicle based on the amount of braking operation by a driver so as to make a reclaiming braking force as large as possible. In a normal traveling, the braking force of the vehicle is controlled under the cooperative mode for the reclaiming braking and friction braking (S100 to 210). At the first or a prescribed time of braking control, the braking force of respective wheels is controlled under the single braking mode using the friction braking, where a compensation factor Kp is calculated as the ratio between the actual deceleration rate Gbx and the normal deceleration rate Gbt of the vehicle at this time (S90, S220 to 280), then the target friction braking force is compensated to be increased to Kp times (S190). In this manner, the change of the total braking force of the vehicle is prevented when the braking mode is shifted between the cooperative braking mode and the single braking mode, so that sharp change of the deceleration of the vehicle is prevented (S110 to 210).
