Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve reliability and producibility of a shock absorber by reducing assembling measurement error of valve elements of two check valves which are serially arranged in the shock absorber. CONSTITUTION:Two check valves 30, 40 are serially arranged in a passage 22 for communicating a cylinder upper chamber 6 with a lower chamber 8, at its opening on the cylinder lower chamber side. In one aspect, valve support seats 30b, 40b and valve seats 30c, 40c of the check valves are formed as one member such as a piston main body 20. In another aspect, the valve support seat and valve seat of one check valve is formed on the piston main body, while the valve support seat and valve seat of the other check valve is formed on another member such as an intermediate member to be fixed to the piston main body.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a valve element of a check valve to be operated in a very low speed area of the piston speed, and generate a desirable damping force according to the piston speed over the all area of the piston speed in a shock absorber. CONSTITUTION:In a shock absorber, a piston 4 is formed with a passage 28 for communicating a cylinder upper chamber 6 and a cylinder lower chamber 8 with each other, and a valve element 38 for allowing the only one-way flow of the oil flowing from the cylinder upper chamber 6 to the cylinder lower chamber 8 is provided in the opening part of the cylinder lower chamber 8. The valve element 38 is carried by a support member such as a spring seat 22, which can be displaced in the direction for appreaching and separating from the piston 4, and displaced integrally with the spring seat 22 without generating a bend more than a predetermined bending quantity.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To learn accurate tire pressure speedily in any case by connecting a control line to the low pressure side for a short period of time through operation of a pressure control valve before measurement so as to measure tire pressure accurately and speedily. CONSTITUTION:A pressure control valve 355 is in the neutral position and a pressure discharge valve 358 is in the first position at the time of non- operation. Therefore, a control line 351 is shut off from a compressor 352 and an air cylinder 354. On the other hand, the atmospheric pressure is introduced into a tire pressure adjusting valve 300 from the control line 351 to block a passage. Consequently, the inside of a tire 101 is shut off from the outside, and pressure at that time is maintained. I this case, the same operation as that at the time of pressure reduction control is carried out intentionally to shorten equilibrium reaching time after pressure is increased and controlled. That is, after increase and control of pressure ends, the pressure control valve 355 is not only returned to the neutral position from the first position, but also moved to the second position for a short period of time only. Thus, pressure of air in the control line 351 is instantaneously released in the atmosphere via the pressure control valve 355 and a muffler 361.

CONSTITUTION:An electric control circuit 30 adjusts tire pressure by controlling each solenoid SOL1, SOL2 based on data from a car speed sensor 31, a load sensor 12, a road surface sensor 33, a manual switch 34, and a pressure sensor 23 and lights an alarm lamp 35. At this time, the amount of change of pressure signal which is input from the pressure sensor 23 per unit time is detected. The device detects whether the amount of change is within the range of the predetermined tolerance or not and judges whether an adjusting device 10 is abnormal or not. If it is abnormal, the device lights the alarm lamp 35.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform adjustment of pressure in a short period of time and simplify measuring system by performing minute adjustment of tire pressure repeatedly by means of a minute adjustment control means after controlling tire pressure through estimation of tire pressure from the outside during adjustment of pressure by means a differential pressure estimate control means. CONSTITUTION:Pressure of a tire 1 is estimated based on a differential pressure between the tire 1 and a piping 20 which is expressed by the primary equation of pressure value of a pressure sensor 4 and a pressure control valve 6 is controlled so that pressure coincides with the desired pressure of the tire 1 when there is an air flow between differential pressure estimate control means 21 of an electronic control section 2 and the piping 20. Also, a minute adjustment control means 22 estimates the pressure of the tire 1 obtained by subtracting at least a pressure drop of a tire pressure adjusting valve 13 from the pressure sensor 4 in the case of no air flow when pressure of the tire 1 becomes the desired pressure valve by the differential pressure estimate control means 21, and adjust the pressure control valve 6 repeatedly so that pressure coincides with the desired pressure of the tire 1. Thus, it is possible to perform adjustment of pressure in a short period of the time and achieve simplification of the structure.

The valve seat 34 consists of a main valve seat part 34a, which is practically extended into a ring, and plural auxiliary valve seats 34b, which are intermittently arranged along the main valve seat part 34a, and under the valve closing condition, the valve element 16 is supported by the main and the auxiliary valve seat parts, and the valve element 16 and the main valve seat part 34a contact with each other to cut the flow of the oil.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the early abrasion of a seal member at low temperature by providing a pressure adjustment permitting/inhibiting means, which permits the pressure adjustment in case that the seal temperature gotten by a seal temperature getting means is more than the tolerable temperature, and inhibits the pressure adjustment in case that it is lower than the tolerable temperature. CONSTITUTION:In case that a pressure adjustment permitting/inhibiting means 56 is in the mode of permitting pressure adjustment while a vehicle is not running even if seal temperature is low, if the seal temperature is low and the vehicle is running when the command to do pressure adjustment is issued, the start of pressure adjustment is inhibited, whereby a seal member is kept at atmospheric pressure. Next, if the vehicle is not running even if the seal temperature is low, the start of the pressure adjustment is permitted, whereby it turns out that the seal member is placed under high pressure. But, then, if the vehicle starts running, the pressure adjustment is inhibited if the seal temperature at that time is low. If the pressure adjustment is started, a passage opening/closing device 80 breaks a specified part passage from a tire chamber 6, and the seal member is placed under atmospheric pressure.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To generate damping force of linear characteristic with a different tendency in a piston speed so as to remove an influence of dispersion in manufacture by providing a hole, which guides fluid to the second valve unit, in the first valve unit and a hole, which allows outflow fluid from the periphery of the second valve unit to flow, in a stopper. CONSTITUTION:When a piston rod 26 is extended, a valve unit 18 is deflected by allowing fluid in a fluid chamber 12 to flow in a port 32 of a piston 16, and damping force C1 is generated by this deflection. When the valve unit 18 hits a stopper 24 to restrict the deflection at a piston speed V1, a valve unit 20 is deflected by allowing fluid to flow toward the valve unit 20 from a hole 38, and outflow fluid from the periphery is allowed to flow through a hole 42 of the stopper 24 to generate damping force C2 by deflection of the valve unit 20. When the valve unit 20 is not deflected by hitting the stopper 24 at a piston speed V2, a valve unit 22 is deflected by flowing fluid in the valve unit 22 from a hole 40, and outflow fluid from the periphery flows through a hole 44 of the stopper 24 to generate damping force C3 by deflection of the valve unit 22.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a small damping device possible to absorb liquid expansion by taking out the oscillation of a suspension arm as the rotary motion of an axis, and permitting the generation of damping force with the damping device composed of mutually cooperating fixed and movable vanes by the rotary motion. CONSTITUTION:An axis 12 spliningly linked to the body side end part of a suspension arm 10, and the axis 12 is rotatably supported on a body side member via a damping device 14. The damping device 14 has plural fixed vanes 30 at intervals in the circumferential direction of an inner periphery and is equipped with a cylindrical casing 26, which is rotatably supporting the axis in a liquid-tight condition and fixed to a body. The damping device 14 also has movable vanes 46, housed in two liquid chambers 38 and 40 in the casing 26 and fitted to the axis 12, and each of the liquid chambers 38 and 40 is communicated to a leakage chamber 42 via a gap between the axis 12 and an end plate 20 and moreover to a reservoir chamber 54. A means 62 is provided which flows liquid, in the liquid chambers 38 and 40, into the axis 12 to generate damping force.

CONSTITUTION:A terminal member 48 provided on a casing 42 is in a sealing contact to ends of one side of an inner peripheral surface of the casing 42 and a fixed blade 40 in an axial direction. An elastic first seal 50 is arranged between the terminal member 48 and an end of one side of a movable blade 46 in an axial direction. A land 52 provided on a shaft 44 is in a sealing contact to an inner peripheral surface of the casing 42 and the other end of the movable blade 46 in an axial direction. An elastic second seal 54 is arranged between the land 52 and the other end of the fixed blade 40 in an axial direction. A support 56 of the shaft 44 is distanced from the land 52 by a gap 96 which has a width within a range of elasticity of the seals. The shaft 44 is movable in an axial direction within the range of the gap 96.
