    Abstract: PURPOSE:To automatically analyze a number of inspection samples quickly and efficiently by irradiating the sample in cells simultaneously with monochroic lights with specified wave lengths through a spectroscope with a scattering element. CONSTITUTION:As test tubes 11 being intermittently moved is guided into a spectrochemical analyzer 14, they 11 are transmitted sequentially by light from a light source 19 via separate incident splits 17 once spectrally analyzed into monochroic lights with a scattering element 20. Consequently, absorption spectrum of inspection samples in the test tubes 11 can be measured in a multichannel detection array 16. Here, as test tubes 11 arranged in plurality are moved intermittently and pass through spectroscopic areas with monochroic light by spectroscope with a scattering element 20, quick measurement of a number of inspection samples is possible in a short space of time. Moreover, as the sample is irradiated with soft monochroic light obtained by spectroscope with the scattering element 20, the accurate measurement of absorption spectrum can be done without causing light reaction in the inspection sample.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable measuring of various types of analysis items by means of a single photometer, by a method wherein a light, transmitting through a reaction liquid in a housing part, is dispersed by a dispersing device, and the dispersed lights are individually detected by detectors positioned corresponding to a plurality of wavelength positions. CONSTITUTION:Reaction receptacles 7, into which a sample and a reagent are poured by means of pipettes 2, 3 are distributing devices 15-20, are irradiated with light from a light source 23 in a state that they are positioned in liquid in a constant temperature tank 22, and the transmission light is dispersed by a dispersion device 25 to detect it by means of a plurality of light detectors 26. When a measurement sample, being related to a measuring item, reaches a measurement position, a selection switch 29 is actuated by a controller 21 to select signals of required wavelengths lambda1 and lambda2. The wavelength signals are inputted to a counting circuit 31 through a function conversion circuit 30, and analyzed results are indicated in an indicator 32. This permits the analysing operation of a plurality of analysis items without the need for a mechanical moving part, and enables the miniaturization of a photometer.
