PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic power generator which facilitates installation thereof irrespective of a shape of a falling work to be installed and a head drop, can flexibly responds to flow rate change of water flowing through an irrigation channel, and efficiently generates power.SOLUTION: A power generator main body 11 includes a water intake barrel 28, a water throttling part 50 disposed coaxially under the intake barrel 28, a rotary screw 60, and a dynamo 78 connected to a shaft 70 fixed to the rotary screw 60. A frame body 20 which retains the power generator main body 11 and a beam member 18 to which the frame body 20 is fixed are provided. An intake cylinder 30 projected to the upstream side of a water path 12 is provided on a position near the upper edge part of a lateral surface of the intake barrel 28, an opening part of the top end becomes an intake port 32 for taking in water, and an opening part of the other edge becomes an inflow port 34 for causing water to flow thereinto. An adjustment port 36 which opens toward a downstream side bottom surface 14b and a closure plate 38 which openably and closably closes the adjustment port 36 are provided between the intake port 32 and the inflow port 34 of the intake cylinder 30.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water flow power generation device capable of being easily and flexibly installed at several places such as a small river and an irrigation channel and generating sufficient electric power even with a weak water flow.SOLUTION: A water flow power generation device 1 which is installed in a channel 100 having a water flow and generates electric power using the water flow comprises: a propeller 2 which rotates by receiving the water flow flowing in the channel 100; a support member 4 which fixes the propeller 2 in water; a generator 5 which generates electric power with rotation of the propeller 2; and a frame member 6 which is installed in the channel 100 at an upstream side of the propeller 2 and concentrates the water flow into the propeller 2. The frame member 6 has an upstream opening 61 positioned at the upstream side of the channel 100, a downstream opening 62 positioned at a downstream side of the channel 100 and a wall section 7 which is positioned in the water higher than the propeller 2 above the upstream opening 61.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high output in an axial waterwheel comprising a runner vane and an opening adjustable guide vane.SOLUTION: A rotation speed is defined as N, an effective head is defined as H, waterwheel output is defined as P, N/Hdenotes a rotation speed per unit head, P/Hdenotes output per unit head and Q/Hdenotes a flow rate per unit head. In such a case, when operating an axial waterwheel with a guide vane opening equal to or more than a guide vane opening with which a peak value of relative waterwheel efficiency determined for each guide vane opening takes a maximum value, the axial waterwheel is operated at a variable speed so as to satisfy the condition that the rotation speed per unit head is higher than a rotation speed per unit head in the case where the relative waterwheel efficiency takes a maximum value with a given guide vane opening and equal to or lower than a rotation speed per unit head in the case where waterwheel output per unit head takes a maximum value.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a structure simple and reduce cost by employing a nozzle that has no movable part as flow rate adjusting means of a water turbine for hydraulic power generation.SOLUTION: A nozzle 4 is disposed detachably inside an inlet pipe 2 of a cross-flow water turbine, in which a runner 3 is disposed on a distal discharging part of the inlet pipe 2 that introduces water transmitted through a water pressure pipe path, a center shaft of the runner 3 crossing a direction of water flow. The nozzle 4 is formed to have a quadrilateral cross-section and has a discharging part that has a smaller cross-section than that of the distal discharging part of the inlet pipe 2 at its distal end. A distal end of an upper face plate of the nozzle 4 is longer then a distal end of a lower face plate thereof so that the upper face plate extends to the vicinity of an outer circumference of the runner 3. Also, with the extending part of the upper face plate bended toward a direction away from the runner 3 to increase the area in which vanes of the runner 3 receive water, efficiency of the water turbine is further improved.
