    Abstract: An object of the present invention is to make it possible to manufacture many types of airbags corresponding to vehicles by merely changing a sewing line, while using panels in common. An airbag for a front passenger's seat is structured by using an inner panel that is sewn together opposingly in a vehicle transverse direction, wherein an outer panel that is provided so as to nip the inner panel from both sides in the vehicle transverse direction, and is provided with a left side bag portion that is positioned at a vehicle transverse direction left side, and a right side bag portion that is positioned at a vehicle transverse direction right side. A shape of a concave portion at a passenger side between the left side bag portion and the right side bag portion is set by a sewing line of sewing together the inner panel.

    Abstract: An apparatus includes groove-shaped thin portions, of which the length direction is in a vertical direction, that are provided at predetermined intervals in the front-back direction in front of a hip point of a seat side garnish. When an impacting body impacts the seat side garnish and a load is applied to the seat side garnish, first, stress concentrates at the thin portions, and then the area between the thin portion and the thin portion of the seat side garnish, and the area between the thin portion and the thin portion of the seat side garnish deforms so as to move inward in the vehicle width direction. As a result, the seat cushion will readily rise up in front of the hip point, and is thus able to be prevented or suppressed from rising up at the hip point.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably constrain an occupant on a front passenger seat by an airbag even if the occupant is close to an instrument panel at the time of front collision of a vehicle. SOLUTION: When the airbag 12 supplied with gas expands and deploys to a side of the occupant on the front passenger seat, a first to-be-fractured part 21 and second to-be-fractured parts 22 in the instrument panel 16 are fractured to form an opening part 56 for expansion of the airbag 12. Expansion/deployment at a center area 12A of the airbag 12 is suppressed by a flap 14 (deployment control cloth), and an end part area 12B is expanded/deployed earlier than the center area 12A is. The first to-be-fractured part 21 extends to the vehicle width direction in an area corresponding to a general part 14A of the flap 14. The second to-be-fractured parts 22 are formed to diverge from both end parts 41 of the first to-be-fractured part 21 respectively to the vehicle front side and to the vehicle rear side.
