    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nanoporous inorganic powder material having low density, low thermal conductivity and pores with high density.
    SOLUTION: In the nanoporous inorganic powder and a method of manufacturing the same, the nanoporous inorganic powder is manufactured through a sol-gel process from a precursor. The precursor is uniformly mixed with a solvent to form gel particles. The gel particles are polymerized to form a gel particle assemblage. The gel particles in a sol stage is uniformly distributed in the solvent and formed into gel larger than the gel particle. The wet gel is formed under a different catalytic condition and dried and heat-treated.
