Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical volatilization device using pendulum motion and retaining a volatilization performance favorably compared with conventional fan-type mosquito repellents.SOLUTION: The chemical volatilization device includes a volatilization device body, and a pendulum member attached thereto to perform pendulum motion. The pendulum member includes a chemical volatilizer on the upper end thereof and a permanent magnet on the lower end. The volatilization device body includes an electromagnet installed at a part facing the permanent magnet, and an insecticidal component is volatilized from the chemical volatilizer using the pendulum motion generated from attraction force and repulsive force of the permanent magnet and the electromagnet. The chemical volatilizer includes a volatile pyrethroid-based insecticidal component with a vapor pressure under 25°C of 1-100 mPa. Further, when a cumulative total (angular amplitude×frequency) of angles where the chemical volatilizer operates per minute by the pendulum motion is represented by radian, it is within a range of 5π-150π radian/min.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical volatilization body obtained by kneading a pyrethroid-based insect proof component volatile at room temperature into a resin carrier to form a filament and configuring the filament into a mesh-like shape, the chemical volatilization body having an improved breeding property, with less stickiness by an insect proof component on a resin mesh surface, and being less susceptible to an effect of light even in an outdoor use.SOLUTION: In a chemical volatilization body obtained by kneading a pyrethroid-based insect proof component volatile at room temperature into a resin carrier to form a filament and configuring the filament into a mesh-like shape, when the filament is cross-cut and a longest diameter and a shortest diameter each passing a center of gravity of the cross section are measured, the shortest diameter is 0.2-3.0 mm and a ratio of the longest diameter/the shortest diameter is 1.2-5.0.

Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pest-repelling aerosol preparation highly safe to fire as well as excellent in pest-repelling effect and feeling in use, increased in the coating surface deposition of its pest-repelling component through preventing aerosol spray from scattering around, and maximally diminished in affecting human health due to such aerosol spray inhalation. SOLUTION: The pest-repelling aerosol preparation is such as to be obtained by packing an aerosol container with an aerosol stock solution containing (a) a pest-repelling component and (b) one or more components selected from 2-6C alcohol and/or glycol and (c) a propellant, which is a compressed gas. When this aerosol preparation is sprayed against a coating surface by 15 cm apart therefrom, the average size of spray particles is 50 μm or larger, and the coating surface deposition percentage of the pest-repelling component(a) of ≥70%. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noxious insect repellent aerosol used for human body, excellent in not only having a noxious insect repellent effect and safety for human body but also a high safety for fire, and also excellent in the retaining property of a refreshing use feeling. SOLUTION: This noxious insect repellent aerosol for human body obtained by filling an aerosol stock solution containing (a) a noxious insect repellent component, (b) 1 kind or ≥2 kinds selected from a 2-6C alcohol and/or glycol, (c) inorganic or organic powder having 0.5-20 μ mean particle diameter and (d) water, and (e) dimethyl ether as a propellant is provided with that (d) the water is natural mineral water having ≤700 hardness, and the weight ratio of (b) the total weight of the 2-6C alcohol and/or glycol to (d) water is ≤1.1. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dissolvent for a pyrethroid compound sparingly soluble in kerosene, and to provide an aqueous aerosol preparation preferably not inferior to an oily aerosol preparation in aspects of insecticidal efficacy and having weak flammability or further lower flammability than that in the flammability classification based on the High Pressure Gas Control Law in jetting inflammability by applying the dissolvent to the aqueous aerosol preparation. SOLUTION: The dissolvent for the pyrethroid compound sparingly soluble in the kerosene is an aromatic amide compound, preferably N,N-diethyl-m-toluamide. The aerosol preparation comprises an aerosol stock solution containing the dissolvent for the pyrethroid compound sparingly soluble in the kerosene and a propellant. The aerosol stock solution preferably comprises (a) imiprothrin or phthalthrin, (b) the N,N-diethyl-m-toluamide, (c) a nonionic surfactant and (d) water. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harmful-insect repellent aerosol agent for human body, not only excellent in harmful insect repelling effect and safety to human body, but also giving a sustaining cool feeling without using water vaporization heat.SOLUTION: A harmful-insect repellent aerosol-agent is provided by filling an aerosol container with an aerosol stock solution containing, based on the total amount of the aerosol stock solution, 1 to 20 mass% of a harmful-insect repellent component and 50 mass% of ethanol and no inorganic or organic powder, and an ejection gas comprising mostly of a liquid petroleum gas having a vapor pressure of 0.3 MPa or less at 20°C with a compounding ratio of 10 to 90% to 50 to 50%. The harmful-insect repellent aerosol-agent gives a sustaining cool feeling based on vaporization effect of the ethanol and the liquid petroleum gas when it is sprayed on a skin surface of a human body.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based insect repellent aerosol for a human body having an excellent insect repellent effect and superior human body and fire safety and giving not only dryness but also lasting coolness.SOLUTION: The insect repellent aerosol for a human body is prepared by filling an aerosol container with: an aerosol stock solution containing 1-20 mass% of an insect repellent constituent and 30-80 mass% of water relative to the total quantity of the aerosol stock solution and containing no inorganic/organic powder; and a liquefied jet gas. When the insect repellent aerosol is sprayed to be applied to the skin surface of a human body, lasting coolness is given based on a vaporization heat effect of the water and an evaporation effect of the liquefied jet gas. Specifically, when the insect repellent aerosol is sprayed for 3 seconds at a distance of 15 cm to be applied to the skin surface of a human body, a temperature of the application skin surface is lowered by 15-90% for 1 minute or more.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for a flying insect pest catcher having a chemical holder with excellent wetting properties, excellent in the durability of the wet state, and exhibiting a high attraction effect and efficiency in catching on flying insect pests, particularly fruits flies, for a long period of time; and a highly convenient flying insect pest catcher using the same.SOLUTION: The flying insect pest catcher carrier is a non-woven fabric carrier to which liquid-absorbent polymer is added. The flying insect pest catcher carrier can hold a liquid chemical composition whose bulk density is 0.1-0.3 and which contains an insecticidal component and an insect attracting component. The flying insect pest catcher is formed by holding a chemical holder 30 in which the liquid chemical composition is held in a wet state, in a tray 10, and combining the tray 10 with a cover 20 having an opening 29.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drug sublimating object in which a carrier containing room temperature sublimating drug is housed inside of a flat shaped drug container used by fixing the same to a screen door, which does not hinder a window or a weather door even though fixed to the screen door, and in which drug effectively sublimates and spreads over the whole screen door, and which can repel or evade the flying harmful insects such as mosquitos and black flies and a method for repelling the flying harmful insects using the same.SOLUTION: In the drug sublimating object in which the carrier containing room temperature sublimating drug is housed inside of the flat shaped drug container, the thickness of the drug container is 3 mm to 10 mm, and a gap of not less than 1 mm is arranged between the carrier and an inner face of the drug container.
