PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which exhibits excellent fixing property, chargeability, color reproducibility and long-term stability, even in a toner containing crystalline polyester, and to provide a two-component developer, a developing device and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The toner includes toner base particles that contain a colorant and a binder resin containing at least crystalline polyester and an amorphous resin, and a mixed oxide of aluminum oxide and silicon dioxide externally added to the toner base particles, wherein the content of the crystalline polyester in the binder resin falls within a range from 20 wt.% to 50 wt.% and a compositional proportion of aluminum oxide in the mixed oxide of aluminum oxide and silicon dioxide falls within a range from 35 wt.% to 50 wt.%. SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus 1 capable of forming color images, a plurality of development devices 29 for developing an electrostatic latent images, by supplying toner which is a developer to a photoreceptor 27 are disposed for each color toner (cyan, magenta, yellow). Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one component development method to form a high-quality image free from fogging or deterioration in the picture quality for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The one component development method is implemented by supplying the following toner onto a developing roller by a supply roller, carrying the supplied toner on the developing roller, making the carried toner form a toner thin layer of uniform thickness by a layer thickness regulating member disposed in contact with the developing roller, and bringing the developing roller carrying the toner thin layer of uniform thickness into contact with a photoreceptor carrying an electrostatic latent image to develop the electrostatic latent image. The toner is prepared by externally adding each predetermined amount of silica having a predetermined average particle diameter and of aluminum oxide-silicon dioxide mixture oxide having a predetermined average particle diameter to toner mother particles containing at least a colorant and a binder resin. The circumferential velocity ratio of the developing roller to the circumferential velocity of the photoreceptor is controlled to 1.10 to 1.25, thereby maintaining excellent stable supplying property of the toner for a long time. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner which is excellent in electrostatic charge stability when it is used as a nonmagnetic one component developer, welding resistance to a developing blade and filming resistance to a developing roller and a photo conductor and forms a high concentration, uniform, and clear image with a small amount of toner. SOLUTION: In the case of producing the toner used as the developer of an image forming device 100, volume mean particle diameter is set to ≥6μm≤9μm, content of toner particles having ≥15.0μm particle diameter is set to ≤ 2.0 volume %, content of toner particles having ≤ 5.00μm particle diameter is set to ≥ 30 number % and content of toner particles having ≤ 3.00μm particle diameter is set to ≤ 10 number %. In the toner having such particle diameter distribution, electrostatic charging property is maintained through life even when it is used as the nonmagnetic one component developer, welding to the developing blade and filming to the developing roller and the recording medium such as the photoconductor are not generated and the high concentration, uniform and clear image is formed with a small amount of toner. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method carried out by melting and kneading a source material mixture containing a binder resin, a colorant and a release agent and then pulverizing and classifying the kneaded material is characterized in that: the melting temperature Tm [°C] of the binder resin is in the range of 100≤Tm≤140; an open roll type continuous kneading machine is used; the gap DI [mm] in the source mixture supply side satisfies DI≤1.00; and the cross-sectional area A [mm 2 ] of the gap between the heating roll and cooling roll, the area enclosed by the straight line connecting each center of the heating roll and the cooling roll and by a straight line connecting two points shifted upward from each center of the heating roll and the cooling roll in the vertical direction by a half of each radius, the temperature Ts [°C] in the source material side of the heating roll, and the supply amount S [kg/h] of the source material mixture are controlled to satisfy (1): 15≤A×(Ts-25)/(Tm×S)≤32. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the development using a nonmagnetic single component by which a sufficient amount of toner can be always and stably transferred from a sponge-type supply roller to a developing roller and superior images can be obtained. SOLUTION: The method for the development using a nonmagnetic single component is carried out by supplying the following nonmagnetic single- component toner from a sponge-type supply roller to a developing roller, forming a thin layer of the toner on the developing roller with a layer regulating member, charging the toner and then using the toner for the development. The toner used comprises mother particles containing at least a binder resin and a coloring agent, and silica and particles of metal stearates are used as external additives to the mother particles. The particles of metal stearates are added by 0.05 to 1.0 part by mass to 100 parts by mass of the toner.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light fixable toner which can secure fixability even only with a fixing device of a laser fixing system, and has excellent color reproducibility, developer including the light fixable toner and a fixing method therefor.SOLUTION: A light fixable toner 1 is fixed onto a recording medium with a fixing device for radiating light having a wavelength in an absorption wavelength range of colorant. The light fixable toner 1 does not contain an infrared absorber, and comprises a toner mother particle 2 including a binder resin 5, colorant 6 and a silica particle 7, and a resin-coated layer 3 formed on the surface of the toner mother particle 2 and not containing the colorant. A shape coefficient SF-2 of the light fixable toner 1 is 105 or more and 125 or less.
