Abstract:
The thread former is used for the non-cutting shaping of threads and has a main body (1′) on which the moldings (6) are provided, distributed over the circumference. Said moldings are provided with thread-forming teeth (13, 14). Profile grinding tools are used to produce the thread-forming teeth (13, 14), both in the main body (1′) as well as in the moldings (6). In order for the thread former to be produced easily and cost-effectively, the moldings (6) protrude radially beyond the main body (1′) so far that the profile tool only engages with the molding when producing the thread-forming teeth (13, 14). Consequently, the profiling tool only has to machine one type of material. The thread former is used for the non-cutting shaping of threads, particularly of internal threads.

SOLUTION: This screw forming device 10a includes: a screw forming tool 32 for forming the screw part 14 on a frame 12; a first motor 38 for controlling the rotation of a screw forming tool 32; and a second motor 40 for controlling the forward and backward of the screw forming tool 32. The screw forming tool 32 includes: a prepared hole forming part 86 having a spiral groove 89b at a tapered tip 80; and a screw forming part 84 having a spiral groove 84b connected to the prepared hole forming part 86. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float-free coupling method of coupling a tool insert of a rotating tool and a tool holder by fitting their shapes. SOLUTION: The coupling method of the tool insert of a rotary drive tool and the tool holder by fitting their shapes is characterized in that the tool holder has a receiving surface transmitting force or torque to the tool insert and that the tool insert is made of a harder material than that of the tool holder by sintering a compressed powder member. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold forming tap for a blind hole capable of forming a internal thread on the blind hole, and having durability. SOLUTION: This cold forming tap for the blind hole is provided with a taper-shaped introducing part 11 gradually enlarged toward an axial rear part, on its tip part, a complete screw part 12 having plural lobes 1a at equal intervals in the circumferential direction is mounted continuously from the introducing part 11, each lobe 1a is provided with an axial oil groove 3 on its intermediate part, the introducing part 11 and the complete screw part 12 are spirally connected in a state of being separated form each other by the oil grooves 3, and the introducing part 11 has a dimension of approximately one heap of the complete screw part 12. As the oil can be easily and fully distributed to the tap, the heat generated in machining can easily escape, the cooling effect is improved, and the frictional resistance is lowered, whereby the durability can be improved.
