PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a solar cell and a grooving tool which can set and replace with a new cutting edge with ease without exchanging the grooving tool itself when a cutting edge is worn away or nicked, and can manufacture an integral type thin film solar cell at a good yield. SOLUTION: In this grooving tool 8, many recesses and projections 82 and 83 continuous in a gear shape are formed along a circumferential direction in an outer peripheral part of a disk-shaped body 81 attached so as to rotate and fix to a holder 9 of a scriber, at least either one corner part directing toward a tangent direction of this projection 83 is formed as a cutting edge 84, and this cutting edge 84 is disposed toward an advance direction to groove simultaneously by a plurality of cutting edges by movement of one movement. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a groove machining tool for a solar battery capable of easily replacing a blade edge with a new one without replacing the groove machining tool itself when the blade edge is worn out and manufacturing an integrated thin film solar battery with a satisfactory yield. SOLUTION: On an outer peripheral part of a disk-shaped body 81 which is rotatably and fixably mounted on the holder 9 of a scribing device, a plurality of the blade edge areas in which the blade edges is directed in nearly tangential direction are arranged at a regular interval in circumferential direction.
