Abstract:
Entered image data is stored in a page buffer on a per-page basis, and image data that has been stored in the page buffer is subjected to error diffusion processing on a per-raster basis, thereby creating and outputting binarized data. Sub-scanning direction error due to error diffusion processing is stored in an error buffer at the time of binarization. The error buffer is initialized based upon positions, in the sub-scanning direction, of a raster that underwent error diffusion processing immediately previously and a raster to undergo error diffusion processing, and the number of rasters on a page. As a result, it is possible to avoid a deterioration in image quality at page boundaries and at the beginning of an image simultaneously when data for printing on elongated sheets of paper is processed.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which when a set paper such that an object page of confirmation print is a tab paper is used, printing desired by a user cannot be performed. SOLUTION: The device comprises a print control means for printing, after printing a confirmation object page for confirmation, the confirmation object page by use of the same kind of paper as the paper used in the printing for confirmation. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sticky-note printing system and a sticky-note printer which can print images in reading posture of images to be printed on the sticky-note according to an adhesion form of the sticky-note. SOLUTION: The sticky-note printing system comprises a sticky-note printer which performs printing on the top sticky-note of a sticky-note bundle prepared by releasably adhering one of the ends of the sticky-notes and laminating the sticky-notes, and an image creating device to create image data to be printed on the sticky-note. In the system, the sticky-note is printed by the sticky-note printer based on the image data created by the image creating device. The image creating device comprises an image creating means to create image data. The sticky-note printer comprises an image rotating means to rotate the created image data by a predetermined angle and a printing means to perform printing based on the image data rotated by the image rotating means. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printed matter with electronic tags capable of utilizing attribute information and original image data of a printed matter at copying, an image forming apparatus for generating the printed matter, and an image forming apparatus capable of obtaining a copy with high image quality reflecting the attribute information of the printed matter from the electronic tag attached printed matter. SOLUTION: In the printed matter 200 IC tags, image data are printed on IC tag attached print paper and an IC tag stores the printed image data. An MFP 100C uses an IC tag reader 143A to determine whether or not an original set to an ADF 141 is the printed matter with IC tags. When the printed matter is attached with IC tags, the IC tag reader 143A reads image data from the IC tag of the original set on the ADF without carrying the original, and a print section 151 prints out the image data on ordinary print paper or print paper with IC tags. In printing the image data on the print paper, an IC tag writer 152 writes the printed image data to the IC tag of the print paper at the same time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
Abstract:
A printing apparatus includes a connection interface which connects the printing apparatus to a peripheral device such as a host computer. A connection object of the connection interface is detected, and a print mode is set to a normal print mode or a demonstration print mode. In the normal print mode, printing is performed based on print data received from the host computer, depending on the detected connection object. In the demonstration print mode, printing is performed based on demonstration print data which is stored in advance. The print mode is set to the normal print mode when the connection object is the host computer and to the demonstration print mode when the connection object is not the host computer or when there is no connection object.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading and recording apparatus capable of discriminating whether or not it is possible to make recording of a plurality of copies by one process and performing control on the basis of the size of originals, an output magnification, and the number of the originals before reading of a plurality of the originals is finished. SOLUTION: The image reading and recording apparatus 1 capable of recording a plurality of copies wherein an image is respectively recorded on each of a plurality of recording paper sheets by one recording process is characterized in that the apparatus selects and performs recording of a plurality of copies when the size of recording paper acquired on the basis of the size of the originals and the output magnification is a half of a maximum recording paper size recordable by the apparatus 1 or below and the number of recording copies acquired on the basis of the number of the originals by one process and the recording copies is two or over, and the apparatus selects and performs one copy recording by one process in other cases.
